Astronomical Functions and Art Historical Analysis of the Planetarium of P. Engelbert Seige (1791) in Collections of the National Technical Museum in Prague

The main goal of this work is to apprise readers with one part of our national cultural heritage which is exposed at the National Technical Museum in Prague in the astronomy exposition. This heritage is the planetarium from P. Engelbert Seige from 1791. The first chapter endeavours to delineate under what circumstances the planetarium was originated, and it also includes the life of its creator Engelbert Seige and the history of the Ossegg monastery, where Seige lived and worked. The second chapter is devoted to a detailed description of the astronomical functions of the planetarium and a description of its dials and mechanisms, including pictorial documentation. In the third chapter is briefly described the development of time measurement and clock production, as well as contemporary watchmaking and scientific advances and discoveries. It also describes some contemporary clockworks of other watchmaking masters, namely Jan Klein, Eise Eisinga and Philipp Matthäus Hahn, again including their pictorial documentation. The fourth chapter describes other, but unfinished models of Engelbert Seige.
Astronomical grounds of calendars in different historical periods and cultures

The main goal of this work is to describe calendars of various countries, and that both calendars, which are used until these days, and calendars of perished civilizations or calendars, which were abandoned by their users because during ages they had preferred another calendar. This work is for everyone, who would like to be informed, how our calendar was originated, why he contains some things which are illogical from our point of view such as the irregularity of the length of months. It also tries to show the way how the calendars were created, how they were refinement, but also that the calendar we use most, the Gregorian calendar, is not still perfect. First chapter wants to explain to reader, what is the lunar, solar and lunisolar calendar. In second chapter are described calendars of the eldest known Mediterranean civilizations in the context of antique literary creation. Third chapter is dedicated to the world's most widespread Gregorian calendar, the circumstances of his rise by correcting the Julian calendar, about his acceptance in world and about the lunar point in this otherwise solar calendar, namely the calculation of Easter. Marketing neziskových organizací

Marketing has always been a key subject in commercial organisations, being an integral part of the business strategy and plans. In the non-profit sector, there is still a reticence towards the subject, often seen as either unnecessary or even a waste of the often very limited financial resources. As a reaction to that, this work discusses the importance and use of marketing in non-profit organisations and explores the issues around the subject with relation to the non-profit entities as well from a theoretical point of view as through case studies where the marketing efforts of a number of different non-profit organisations were analysed. The overall objective is to prove that also in non-profit organisations marketing should be an integral part of the overall business plan and is key to the overall success of the non-profit organisation.
Marketingový význam privátních značek

Práce se zabývá marketingovým významem privátních značek v sortimentu potravinářského a drogistického zboží. Úvodní teoretická část zahrnuje popis důležitých aspektů odvětví maloobchodu, dále se zabývá vymezením pojmů značka a privátní značka (strategie privátních značek a jejich význam pro jednotlivé tržní subjekty). Následující kapitola analyzuje minulou, současnou situaci a možné budoucí trendy v oblasti privátních značek na základě dat společnosti The Nielsen Company. Důraz je kladen na evropský a český trh. Vlastní výzkum spočívá v identifikaci postojů českých spotřebitelů k sortimentu privátních značek metodou dotazování. Závěr tvoří formulace doporučení pro podnikovou praxi a shrnutí nejpodstatnějších poznatků.
