The possibilities regulation of production hydration heat of concrete with plasticizer
Hermann, Radek ; Halas, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
This thesis studies the problematics of water reducing and high range water reducing admixtures and their influence on the process of hydration of cement pastes. The process of hydration is examined in this thesis both in terms of hydration heat and hydration temperature rise. Attention is also paid to the influence of plasticizers in combination with retarding admixture regarding rheological properties of modified fresh cement pastes and their mechanical properties after 3 and 7 days from mixing.
Effect of the currently used plasticizers for concrete hydration temperature
Knotová, Kateřina ; Halas, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
Plasticizing and superplasticizing admixtures are the key components of nearly every concrete. These admixtures improve workability of mortar and fresh concrete which lead to facilitation of depositing and compaction. Adding of plasticizers or superplasticizers enables to change properties of fresh and hardened concrete, especially to reduce water-cement ratio, thereby increasing strength and durability of concrete or to improve other properties. The main aim of this thesis is to monitor the effect of plasticizing admixtures and their dosage on the rheology and hydration of concrete with emphasis on the development of hydration temperature. The other goal is to examine their strength qualities. Behaviour of plasticizing admixtures is analysed at first on cement pastes, as simple systems, and then verified on concrete.
Effect of chemical additives on the process hydration temperature of cement pastes
Knotová, Kateřina ; Halas, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
Chemical additives, especially plasticizers and super plasticizers, are necessary components of nearly every concrete. These additives improve the workability of grout and concrete mixes thereby reducing vibration intensity during process of compaction. Advantages of these additives are associated with reduction of the amount of gauging water which leads to decrease water-cement ratio, increase strength and durability of concrete, eventually improve other attributes. The aim of this thesis is to observe the effect of plasticizers and their dosage on the rheology and development of hydration temperatures in simpler systems, which are the cement pastes. The thesis also considers compressive, tensile and flexural strength of concrete.
Study of the influence of superplasticising and air entraining admixtures on the properties of fresh and hardened concrete
Kodešová, Monika ; Halas, Vladimír (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is study of the influence of superplasticising and air entraining admixtures on the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. This work is particularly focused on the modulus of elasticity of static and dynamic, and their mutual influence.

Economic crisis and proposals for measures in the U.S.
Junková, Monika ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Halás, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis deals with the current financial crisis and its solutions. In the first part of this work are analyzed the main causes underlying the emergence of contemporary global crisies. Described are also the methods and financial products through which the crisies spread from the United States of America to the rest of the world, mentioned are main negative impacts of the crisis in the Czech Republic and anti-crisis measures taken by the czech government in context of crisis. In the second part of the work proposed recommendations that could reduce the likelihood of further crises in the future or measures, which could help to solve the current economic crisis. The conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis and answer the question if it is possible to avoid a financial crisis and the resulting economic recession or will come again and again?
California´s debt crisis
Průšová, Martina ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Halás, Vladimír (referee)
The topic of my diploma is analysis of debt crisis in California. This one of the most wealthy state in USA has faced serious financial problems from year 2008 and almost fell in bankruptcy. State has a huge debt. At the beginning I will focus on short resume recent economic situation in United States. Rest of the thesis is devoted to situation in the state California. In the fist part is describe development of californian state budget. Next is explanation of main causes of current fiscal problems of California. This thesis also contain evaluation realised solutions these fiscal crisis, designe my own solution and estimate of future fiscal development in California. A part of this work also cover impact of this budget crisis on banking and consumer expenditures. At the end I will draw lesson from this crisis, which is important not only for future of California but also for other countries. The main point of my thesis is if the Califonia now go in the right way and if the solutions of current budget crisis are sufficient.
