International Trade with Flowers

The aim of this thesis is to analyze international trade with flowers focusing on the largest producers and exporters. Another aim is to identify critical points in the import into the Czech Republic. The theoretical part gives the ways of transport and certification of flowers, problems with trading and peculiarity in sales are also discussed in this thesis. The qualitative method of research is used in the practical part. It is a method of controlled interviews with flower buyers and their future comparation. Respondents were selected by random sampling. The interviews are used to gather information about the problematics. The questions mainly concern the purchase of flowers, their transport, storage and frequency of purchase. The gained information is summarized at the end of the thesis.
The West-Berlin question and foreign policy of the FRG 1969-1974

The bachelor work The West-Berlin question and foreign policy of the FRG, 1969-1974 analyses the foreign policy of the Federal Government of FRG in Brandt's era. The aim of Brandt's Ostpolitik was the normalization of relations with GDR and other Eastern Block states. The Federal Government was working on conclusion of renunciation of force and renunciation of the threat of force treaties with these countries in the first half of the 70's. The easing of tension in Europe would be unattainable without an agreement regulating conditions in Berlin. Therefore, the work is also concerned with mutual relations between USA and USSR and with their impact on inter-German relations and the situation in Berlin.
Czechoslovak-US Relations, 1977-1981

Diploma thesis "Czechoslovak-US Relations, 1977-1981" examines the nature and development of bilateral relations between these two states primarily during Carter's period. The thesis describes foreign policy of the United States towards communist countries of Eastern Europe in the late 70's and early 80's of the 20th century and compares this policy with foreign policy of Nixon's and Ford's administrations. The paper briefly describes prevailing situation in the USA in the late 70's, impact of Carter's administration activities on global development of USA-SSSR relations and influence of changes on international field on Czechoslovak-American relations. The main attention is drawn to the nature of Czechoslovak-U.S. relations, matters of mutual interest and to the friction areas among the states. Political and diplomatic relations as well as economic and cultural relations are observed. The thesis also analyzes Carter's initiative to enhance human rights throughout the world and to fulfil the Helsinki commitments, which had essential importance for further developement of U.S. relations with the Soviet bloc states. Stove tiles with Hussite and reformation motivs

This text deals with stove tiles with so called Hussite and Reformation motifs in the Czech lands. These tiles are an example of Gothic and Renaissance tiles . The collection of fragments presented in this thesis was found mainly in localities in Bohemia. Only two examples from Moravia have been documented. The entire collection is first analyzed from the iconographic perspective. Afterwards, a cluster of core motives that indicates Utraquistic origin of the fragments was delimited. Fragments collected mainly from catalogues of museums collections and documented thematic finding are presented. However, some new fragments which were never documented before are part of the collection as well.
