HÁJKOVÁ, Aneta
The bachelor thesis is concerned with the pronunciation of loan words from English in contemporary French economic terminology. The principal aim of this thesis is to describe theoretically and analyse phonetic modifications of Anglicisms. These modifications are caused by the process of borrowing. The thesis consists of six chapters and is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part was compiled on the basis of technical sources and is concerned with the definition of the loan word and the classification of these loan words. This part also mentions the internationalisms and Anglicisms. In another chapter, the thesis describes general principles of the process of borrowing, trends in borrowing and the most frequent field of borrowing. The theoretical part also focuses on the question of phonetic adaptations of loan words. The practical part pursues the composition of the corpus of Anglicisms used in contemporary economic terminology. This corpus is subsequently analysed from the point of view of the phonetic modifications. The analysis of Anglicisms was accomplished using interviews with native speakers. The results of the analysis are described in the last chapter.
