Numerical methods for the analysis of light polarization in the solar corona

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of polarization of light in the solar corona. Photographs taken during a total solar eclipse are processed using software Matlab and the Image Processing Toolbox package. The main objective is to determine the polarized and unpolarized part of the light in the solar corona.
Development of the external economic balance of the Czech Republic and analysis of the influencing factors

The thesis deals with the development of the external economic balance and the influencing factors. It describes the development of individual accounts of the balance of payments from 1993 to 2010 and it mainly focuses on last years and on the time of financial and economic crisis. Consequently in accordance to the basic theoretical concepts, it defines factors which can influence the individual parts of the balance of payments, and it analyzes the mutual relations. On the basis of analysis of the trade balance, current account, basic balance and total balance it was confirmed that the Czech Republic does not have a high risk of external imbalance. But during the financial and economic crisis the external balance worsened, the export of goods and import of direct investment decreased, the balance of income worsened. It was also approved that the external and internal income significantly influence the external balance of the Czech Republic.
Analysis of development of Czech foreign trade in last decade

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide characteristics of the external trade of the Czech Republic for the last decade and to analyze the impact of the EU accession. First chapter deals with the basic trade theories and their impact on an economy. Second chapter focuses on the development of the external trade of the Czech Republic between 2000 and 2011 with regard to export, import and trade balance. Third chapter's aim is to analyze commodity and territorial structure of the external trade. Last part is dedicated to the trade with the most important trading countries of the Czech Republic. Development of external trade relations and the impact of the EU membership are concluded at the end of the thesis. Data from the Czech Statistical Office and Ministry of Industry and Trade were used in it.

With the progression of globalisation and the larger degree of openness of the Czech economy the economic situation of the Czech Republic is increasingly dependent on external developments. This bachelor thesis deals with the current economic position of the Czech Republic as a small export-oriented economy in international trade with an evaluation of its degree of openness, its engagement in the European Union's common commercial policy and its formation of a pro-export policy.
Impacts of the world crisis on foreign trade of Slovak republic (2007-2009)

The graduation thesis discuses the development of the foreign trade of Slovak republic in years 1993 - 2009. It takes a closer look on foreign trade in time of the crisis 2007-2009 and describes the impacts of the recesion. It also proposes some measures that can protect foreign trade of small opened economy of Slovakia agains next recesions. Thesis is devided into four chapters, which deal beside mentioned above also with the importance of foreign trade for Slovakia and with the process of the crisis.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the system of institutions providing export in the Czech Republic. I summarize the most important information on key institutions and their options to help. The work begins with a general characteristic of the pro-export policies and export strategies. The following chapters describe the main institutions to promote exports in the Czech Republic and their possible future development.
The influence of the current economic crisis on the process of monetary integration in Europe

Goal of this thesis named "The influence of the current economic crisis on the process of monetary integration in Europe" is to determine to what extent present financial and economic problems, which are faced by European countries as a consequence of global financial crisis, influenced the direction of European monetary integration. In order to do so it is necessary to describe the process of this integration and steps and decisions which led to the creation of monetary union and common currency. Furthermore, global financial crisis will be analyzed, its causes, consequences and impact on Europe. This crisis and the economic problems it caused contributed to debt crisis in Europe, which led to situation, when some European countries found themselves in need of financial assistance from EU. The measures taken by EU will be mentioned in the end of this thesis which should result in stabilization of present situation and prevent these problems from happening again. I will also outline possible future development of monetary union.
European Union´s foreign trade commodity structure from 1999 to 2009

This Bachelor thesis analyzes the developement of the European Union's external foreign trade commodity structure, which means in relation to non-member countries. But because it's essential to know the context before the beginning of detailed analysis of exports' and imports' commodity structure, the development of the European Union since the end of the Second World War until today is chronologically described and analyzed in the first part of this thesis. Apart from the impotant data during the development of European integration also the consequences of this development are analyzed. Out of the most important events in the development of the European Union, I would like to point out for instance the Treaties of Rome, enlargements of the European union in 1973, 1981, 1986, 1995, 2004 and 2007, the creation of the Schengen Area or signing of Lisbon Treaty. The second part of the Bachelor thesis is already focused on analysis of the European Union's trade structure, namely on periods between years 1999-2003, 2004-2006 and 2007-2009. This distribution was chosen based on crucial events in the European Union's history, which were the introduction of the third stage of the Economic and Monetary Union in 1999, the enlargement of the union by 10 countries in 2004 and the last enlargement yet, entering of Romania and Bulgaria. European Union foreign trade's commodity structure is analyzed separately for exports, imports and trade balance in each chapter.
Inflow of French direct invesment in the Czech republic

This work deals with the inflow of French investments in the Czech Republic since the fall of the Iron Curtain until now. It shows the flow of investment in terms of CZ regions, sectors in which they are placed and also in terms of their volume. In the end of this work a complete list of all French companies implanted in the Czech Republic in 2010 is published.
Benefits and Costs of possible Adopting the Euro in the Czech Republic

This Bachelor's Thesis evaluates incidences of euro for the Czech Republic. The first chapter describes the historical events from the origins of monetary cooperation to the establishment of the European economic and monetary union. In this Thesis is the most important second chapter, which involves detailed analysis of particular incidences of adopting the single currency euro both positive, and negative. The principal objective is to find out, which incidences dominate. For determination of existence of these incidences in practice, is in this Thesis involved part, which deals with the experience of countries, which have already adopted the euro as their national currency. The last objective of this Thesis is to determinate, when is for the Czech Republic optimal adopt the euro.
