Comparison of advanced analysis of fMRI data from oddball experiment
Fajkus, Jiří ; Jan, Jiří (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with processing and analysis of data, acquired from experimental examination performed with functional magnetic resonance imaging technique. It is an oddball type experimental task and its goal is an examination of cognitive functions of the subject. The principles of functional magnetic resonance imaging, possibilities of experimental design, processing of acquired data, modeling of a response of organism and statistical analysis are described in this work. Furthermore, particular parts of preprocessing and analysis are carried out using real data set from experiment. The main goal of this work is suggestion and realization of model, which enables advanced categorization of stimuli, considering the type of previous rare stimulus and the number of frequent stimuli within them. With its in-depth categorization, this model enables detail exploration of cerebral processes, associated mainly with attention, memory, expectancy or cognitive closure. The second point of that work is an evaluation of models of hemodynamic response, which are applied in statistical analysis of data from fMRI experiment. Comparison of basis functions, the models of hemodynamic response to experimental stimulation used for general linear model, is performed in this work. The result of this comparison is an evaluation of detection efficiency of activated voxels, false positivity rate and computational and user difficulty.
Critical Analyse of Offices and its Development Prediction
Drašnar, Jakub ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis is based on critical analysis of office development to determine the development potential of this real estate segment and therefore also predict the future evolution of market characteristics (supply, demand, vacancy rates, investments, rents, yields and prices) and a model scenarios of development towards an optimistic, realistic or pessimistic. The work includes a theoretical part, which defines the basic concepts needed to understand the problem. Furthermore, the development and current situation related to that topic and the actual forecast of the market for office space.
Critical Analyse of Logistics and Industry Centers and its Development Prediction
Krejcar, Miloš ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the prediction of future developments and market characteristics of logistics, with the use of statistical methods will be able to predict future trends in logistics networks. The theoretical part deals with the knowledge of the functioning of supply and demand in the real estate market. Based on critical analysis of market statistics (supply, demand, rents, revenues, prices, availability, market share developers and operators, tenants, structure, forwarding, warehousing, logistics) warehouse properties to determine the conditions optimizing the use of the geographical location of the CR in the competition in Central and Eastern Europe.
Determination of Optimum Parameters for Loans in the Real Estate Market and Their Practical Use in the Future
Panajotovová, Monika ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
This master´s thesis examines the development of real estate financing in relation to the credit crunch. Accordnig to main causes of fluctuations in history, comparing interest rates, mortgage loans, property development and investment in time, it models the evolution of optimal interest rates of real estate market. The loans’ optimal parameters with combination of types of bank financing in the real estate market with regard to its sustainable development as a separate and independent global market with strong inclusion among the other market sectors, are formed there. In this dissertation the analysis of financing methods will be used, comparative method of commercial banks‘ interest rate and analysis of commercial interest rates‘ structure. The result of the work we expect to be optimistic, realistic and pessimistic scenarios of futher development of real estate finance market and the model of the optimal interest rates‘ structure.
A Critical Analyse of Investing in Apartments from the Perspective of Individuals in the Czech Republic
Černý, Jakub ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with analysis of the residential market with a focus on housing, the current situation and in particular the issue of return on investment to purchase an apartment with his subsequent hiring. On the basis of statistical methods and economic indicators using the findings from a critical analysis of current developments will be made and estimates of rate of return of investment risk in buying and renting apartments. Economic indicators for assessing the profitability of investment are the net present value at the selected discount rate and internal rate of return.
A Critical Analysis of Investment Opportunities in the Property Market
Matha, Jan ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis is dedicated to the issue of the real estate market, considering it in the context of before, during and after the crisis. It deals with the property invesments through mutual funds, investment companies and unit trusts, with tax and legal benefits of these investments and their financing. It monitors all the segments of the real estate market development. Its models will cover future optimistic, pesimistic and realistic scenario of the real estate markets.
Comparative Analysis of New Developments Around the City of Brno
Uličný, Karel ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Kledus, Robert (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with analysis of documents for the realization of the new buildings the wider area of Brno. It is divided into the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part describes defines and characterize different stages of implementation of building plots in the framework of utility lines and roads on agricultural land (greenfields), designated for residential housing. In the empirical part goals and methodology of the research project are mentioned and it is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to case studies comparing and analyzing the costs and revenues of the developer selected localities of satellite towns. The second part is focused on the actual development of land prices. It points to items affecting profit or loss of the developer. In the last chapter the author of this thesis describes creating a preliminary calculation, which the developer can determine whether a satellite town of the selected project will be successful or not. In conclusion, the thesis points out important factors affecting the project success of the satellite town.
Modern methods of QRS detection
Fajkus, Jiří ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with methods, which are used for processing of ECG signals, specifically for the detection of QRS complexes. The QRS detection is an essential part of every ECG analysis because it is a source of points with timing information, which are used for classification and measurement of other waves and intervals required for diagnostics. Some ways of QRS detection are described in this work and there is also a description of detector implemented in programming environment MATLAB, which is based on zero crossing counts. This QRS detector was then tested CSE database and signals from Holter examination.
Proposal of Method for the Administration of Logistics Centres in the Conditions of the Czech Republic
Karafiátová, Hana ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Kledus, Robert (advisor)
This thesis deals with facility management. The first part handles facility management as such, its nature, basic concepts, historical development, instruments, ways of providing services and participants. Level of provided services in the Czech Republic is analyzed. Based on received knowledge of the field the other part is focused on detailed specification of facility management services provided in the area of logistic centers management. On the example of individual services there are described differences in management of logistic centres and possible solutions of these situations. The benefit of this thesis consists in providing a comprehensive view of logistics centres management and suggesting possible improvements.
Critical Analysis of Housing and Prediction of its Development Prediction
Leitnerová, Aneta ; Fajkus, Jiří (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis "Critical analysis of the housing stock and prediction of its devel-opment" provides comprehensive information of the residential market development in the context of demographic, political and economic factors. This thesis explores the possibility of involvement of methodological ways to improve market transparency in the housing and its development and research. Analysis of residential market contained in the first few chapters is based on predicting the market in terms of optimistic, pessimistic and realistic market devel-opment assuming the interaction of certain macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions according to the scenario.
