Czech minority schools in Bílina and vicinity (1918-1938)

Diplomová práce se zabývá česko - německými vztahy od dob, kdy se Němci usídlovali na českém území až do roku 1938, kdy došlo k připojení českého pohraničí k německé říši. Popisuje vznik českých škol koncem 19. století na Duchcovsku, které zahrnovalo dva okresy, a to Bílinu a Duchcov. Zabývá se problémy, se kterými se Češi potýkali při zřizování obecných a měšťanských škol pro své děti. Pojednává také o vzniku a fungování Gymnázia v Duchcově a Učitelského ústavu v Bílině. Práce je zaměřena na zřízení a umístění školy, případné stavby nových budov pro tyto školy, na počty tříd a žáků, na akce, které školy pořádaly, na život české menšiny v konkrétní obci a na jejich vztahy s německou většinou. České školy jsou zmapovány od založení do jejich uzavření v roce 1938. K práci bylo využito materiálů uložených ve Státním okresním archivu Teplice.

Financial Product Analysis for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

This bachelor thesis deals with the financial product analysis for small and medium-sized enterprises. Such enterprises would be owned by a self-employed person with a trade licence, who is looking for an optimal loan to buy new facilities. This thesis discusses the detailed analysis of the market with loans with a focus on the selection of the optimal loan option. The theoretical part describes the institutions offering such loans and their basic terms. This section also defines the specifics of trading and provides an explanation of multi-criteria decision-making methods. The practical part investigates a selected self-employed person and his criteria, including interest rate, loan arrangement fee or the possibility of early repayment period. Based on the market analysis, several options are then selected and assessed by using multi-criteria evaluation, which results in the selection of the most appropriate option.

Evaluation of investment project of the company Moravia Sport Group s.r.o.

The topic of the thesis is an evaluation of a real investment project of the company Moravia Sport Group s.r.o. with regard to the current and projected development of macro area, competitive environment and financial analysis results. The aim of this thesis is to give recommendations for the management of the company in order to decide whether to realize or reject the intended project. The theoretical part summarizes the basic analysis, the stages of the investment decision, the parameters entering into the investment evaluation and methods of their evaluation. In its practical part, the thesis initially presents the analysis of the external environment and inner potential of the company performed at first. Subsequently the investment project including its input parameters is introduced and an evaluation of the investment on the basis of defined methods is performed. The conclusion of the practical part is devoted to the sensitivity analysis and overall assessment of the investment plan.

Psychosocial Impacts of Injuries in Children

Accidents are widespread society problem concerning all age groups of population at present. In children, they are even the main cause of mortality. Injury is the main cause of death, hospitalization and disability in children over 1 year of age in the Czech Republic and it represents a serious health, economic and social problem. Traffic accidents, intentional self-harm and drowning are the leading causes of fatal injuries among children aged 0?19 years in the Czech Republic. Traffic accidents cause the most serious long-term injuries of children aged 0?19 years. Most child injuries happen at home, nearhome, in school, and while playing sports. Injury mortality rates among boys are significantly higher than among girls. Abstract part focuces on person characteristic with handicap, explains term Family, Difficult life-time situation. It aims at evaluating the impact of acquired physical disabilities on children?s lives and their families, and also on the awareness of patients and their families about subsequent care options. Furthermore, the thesis calls attention to gaps and sequencing in the healing and therapeutic process and insufficient interaction among individual components of complex rehabilitation in practice. The empirical section, which uses qualitative research methods, focuses on the sample consisting of five children with acquired physical disabilities and their families. The core of this section includes analysis of semi-structured interviews with children and their family members.

Creep in NiAl-Mo Eutectics

We report on creep in NiAl-Mo ternary eutectic and NiAl intermetallic, having respective nominal compositions Ni-45.5Al-9Mo and Ni-45.2Al (at.%). These alloys were directionally solidified in a high-temperature optical floating zone furnace. The eutectic alloy exhibited a well-aligned rod-like microstructure, consisting of NiAl matrix and 14% (by volume) continuous Mo-fibres oriented along a [001]-crystal growth direction. Cylindrical [001]-oriented specimens were loaded in compression at temperatures in a range 1073 – 1173 K. Formidable strengthening by regularly distributed fine fibres (typical diameter, 400 nm) was observed which resulted in minimum creep rates of the NiAl-Mo eutectic that were seven orders of magnitude lower than the corresponding minimum creep rates of the NiAl matrix. Preliminary microstructural investigations suggested that the strengthening effect is due to an interaction between Mo fibres and subgrain boundaries that form in the course of creep. This interaction leads to an increase of dislocation density in the vicinity of fibres and to an efficient redistribution of stresses in the microstructure.

Financial analysis of a company

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to valorise the financial situation of the company Ostravské komunikace,a.s. from the view of external analytic on the basis of the data available from annual statements in the period 2005-2009. The thesis is divided into two basic parts. The first one describes methods of applied financial indicators, the second part is trying to interpret individual indicators, tries to find out a reason of their appearance and in the case of need propose certain recommendation.
