Divišová, Kamila ; Drábová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pětioký, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis investigates the Neurac method in patients with brain damage caused by cerebrovascular accidents, and their subsequent rehabilitation. The theoretical part of this work introduces different mechanism of brain damage with an emphasis on the ictus and the most widely used rehabilitation procedures. Furthermore, the Neurac method, the Redcord device as well as relevant clinical studies are described. Name: Veronika Lučanská Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Jeníček Opponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Comparison of Orthotic Effect between an Ankle Foot Orthosis and a Functional Peroneal Electrostimulation on Gait in Patients after Stroke. Abstract: This bachelor's thesis is focused on comparing orthotic effect between an ankle foot orthosis and a functional peroneal electrostimulation on gait in patients after stroke. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate and compare orthotic effect of AFO and FPES. Footscan® and video analysis were both used for examining gait. This thesis consists of both theoretical and practical sections. The theoretical part contains basic knowledge on stroke and hemiparetic gait, focusing on foot-drop. It also contains a review of several studies describing the effect ofAFO and FPES. In practical section of this thesis, two different patients will be used as case studies. These patients were measured without any aid, with AFO and then again with FPES. The variables evaluated are velocity of gait, length of stance phase, movement of center of plantar pressure and gait stereotype. Data from dynamic plantography is then evaluated and compared via tables, graphs and via photos. Key words: stroke, foot-drop, functional electrostimulation, ankle foot orthosis, footscan
Comparison of standardized gait evaluation tests for post-stroke patients from physiotherapy point of view
Koberová, Monika ; Tichá, Monika (advisor) ; Drábová, Zuzana (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: Comparison of standardized gait evaluation tests for post-stroke patients from physiotherapy point of view Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with a comparison of standardized gait evaluation tests for post-stroke patients. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on stroke, walking in general, characteristics of hemiparetic gait, standardization and standardized tests. The practical part provides the comparison of standardized gait evaluation tests for post-stroke patients from the viewpoint of essential characteristics and qualitative point of view. This part also contains case reports of two patients, in which the gait was evaluated using the selected standardized tests (10 Meter Walk Test, 2 Minute Walk Test, Timed Up and Go, Dynamic Gait Index) and one non-standardized test (Emory Functional Ambulation Profile). These tests were performed at the beginning and at the end of the therapy. Their results were subsequently evaluated and compared. The interpretation of the results in the context of measurement errors, minimal detectable changes and values describing the improvement or deterioration of patient's condition is emphasized in this bachelor thesis. Key words: gait, gait assessment, standardized tests, stroke, measurement...

Title of bachelor thesis: Current Trends in Physiotherapy in Patients with Brain Damage in the Early Stage of the Disease Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with current trends in physiotherapy in patients with brain damage in the early stage of the disease. The aim of this thesis is to gather information about commonly used and unconventional methods in physiotherapy after stroke and to evaluate some of the methods in practice.
The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about stroke and then includes methods that are used in physiotherapy in patients after stroke. These methods consist of conventional and unconventional approaches in physiotherapy. The practical part includes the thesis aim, methodology and two case studies of patients after stroke. One of the patients was using a stabilometric platform Homebalance and the other one has therapy with system Armeo®Spring. In the practical part, there is also evaluation of use of these therapies in practice.
Magic and Clown
Drábová, Zuzana ; CAPKO, Štefan (advisor) ; CIHLÁŘ, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis' main goal is to define the relationship of the clown to magic. It delves into the search for the character of the magical clown through theory and experience in clowning and magic. It describes what the magician and clown have in common and what sets them apart. The aim is to look into the frail existence of the clown, which is magical.

Possibilities of physiotherapy intervention in patiens before cardiac surgery
Vedrová, Tereza ; Heřmanová, Ivona (advisor) ; Drábová, Zuzana (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Name: Tereza Vedrová Supervisor: Mgr. Ivona Heřmanová Title of this thesis: Possibilities of physiotherapy intervention in patiens before cardiac surgery. Abstract: This thesis deals with the options in physiotherapy intervention for patients before cardiac surgery. The theoretical part contains information about the anatomy of the chest and heart focused on basic concepts and biomechanics breathing. It also contains a section dedicated to the field of cardiac surgery, the most common indications in cardiac surgery and possible surgical approaches. A large part is devoted to the possibilities of physiotherapy in the preoperative period, primarily respiratory physiotherapy, exercise therapy and patient education by the physiotherapist. The practical part describes a case of a patient prior to cardiac surgery. Subsequently, the usefulness of physiotherapy for the patient himself is tested in a feedback interview with the same patient after the procedure. Information useful for patients before cardiac surgery, including examples of respiratory and fitness exercises are presented in an instructional manual. The manual also contains photographs of exercises that allow patients to understand the above listed situations better. Key words: cardiac surgery, cardiac rehabilitation,...

Kasanová, Barbora ; Drábová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Průšková, Kateřina (referee)
The title of work: The Effect of Pelvic Stabilizing Muscles Activation in Redcord on the Gait in Patients after Brain Damage Abstract: This bachelor thesis focuses on wrong gait stereotype after acquired brain damage. It aims on finding a way how to affect it by therapy of pelvic stabilizers. For this intention the Neurac method has been chosen. It uses a sling exercise system called Redcord. The theoretical part of this thesis concerns brain damage in general and especially traumatic and ischaemic laesion. It also describes pathologic gait stereotype issue which is very common in these patients. Furthermore, a description of the Neurac method and the Redcord is involved. There are several current studies mentioned as well. In the practical part there are described all used methods, basic research questions, methodology and description of participant patients. This part also includes case studies and results of therapy after doing special Neurac Testing, standard gait tests and visual comparison of gait before and after intervention using videorecording. Key words: Redcord, Neurac, stroke, brain injury, hemiplegic gait, pathologic gait, pelvic stabilizers
