The topic of the thesis is apprenticeship education and the image of the vocational school in the period so-called normalisation and transformation. The thesis at first introduces the apprenticeship education in historic context with its specifics. During the subsequent creation of the image of the vocational school in the period of so-called normalisation and transformation, life in the vocational school is presented with the help of the historical literature, biographical narratives, historical daily press and archive material - The Chronical of the Vocational school in Prague 4.
