The aim of the following thesis is to present the case study of a patient during the rehabilitation process with a diagnosis of polytrauma; recurrent central vestibular syndrome, with special mention to diffused axonal injury from polytrauma. The document is divided into two (2) parts the general/theoretical part and the practical or case study part. The general/theoretical part consist of an introduction of polytrauma and recurrent central vestibular syndrome/dysfunction, followed with characteristics of the disease; epidemiology; etiopathogenesis; incidence; pathokinesiological consequences for the musculoskeletal system; classification; clinical examination; therapy / treatment; pharmacotherapy; conservative treatment; or surgical treatment; examination methods performed by a physiotherapist; physiotherapeutic methods and procedures; physical therapy; occupational therapy; regime measures and prognosis. In conclusion of the general/theoretical part is the effect of therapeutic approaches and procedures with high level of medical based evidence for therapy. The second part consists of the case study which includes the patients' medical history, initial and final kinesiological exam with comparisons to spotlight effect of therapy, short- and long-term therapy plan, evaluation of the therapy and a...
Case Study of Physiotherapy: Rehabilitation of patient after Ileostomy
Jessa, Muhammad ; Chroustová, Kristina (advisor) ; Charvát, Robert (referee)
(English) The aim of this thesis is to clearly portray the rehabilitation process of a patient after an ileostomy. This work is divided into two parts: a theoretical aspect, and a practical aspect. The former consists of an introduction and theoretical information regarding the ileostomy and to determine a physiotherapeutic approach to the rehabilitation of the patient post-surgery. The latter presents the case study which includes the initial and final kinesiological examinations of the patient and day to day therapies that were undertaken as well as the results of said therapies. A conclusion is drawn to compare the initial and final kinesiological examinations, the results, and benefits of applying varied treatments to the patient.

Litvin, Igor ; Chroustová, Kristina (advisor) ; Vrbický, David (referee)
Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Total Knee Arthroplasty Patient Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to summarize the physiotherapeutic intervention of a patient after a total knee replacement (TKA). Methods: The case study consists of initial kinesiological examination, short term and long term physiotherapeutical plan, suggestion of therapy, nine described therapeutic units, final kinesiological examination and evaluation of the therapy effects. Results: The physiotherapeutic intervention was succesful at the end of therapy. Keywords: knee joint, TKA, physiotherapy, case study
Case study of physiotherapy treatment in a patient after an ischemic stroke with left spastic hemiparesis
Pakandlová, Kateřina ; Chroustová, Kristina (advisor) ; Hořejší, Jan (referee)
Author: Kateřina Pakandlová Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment in a patient after an ischemic stroke with left spastic hemiparesis. Objectives: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out theoretical information about stroke and to process a case study about physiotherapeutic care in a patient after an ischemic stroke. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts, including a theoretical part and a special part. The theoretical part is specialized in obtaining and processing information about stroke - its clinical symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, medical treatment, and physiotherapeutic care. The special part involves a case study of physiotherapeutic care in the chosen patient who suffered an ischemic stroke. It consists of an initial and a final examination, therapeutic plan, therapy sessions, and evaluation of the effect of therapy. The case study comes from my practical experience at the Vršovická Zdravotní a.s. during January and February 2022. Results: The patient's strength and range of motion in the left limbs had increased, and self- support had improved. The patient returned home. Keywords: stroke, ischemic stroke, left-sided hemiparesis, rehabilitation
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a distal part humerus fracture diagnosis
Stejskalová, Veronika ; Chroustová, Kristina (advisor) ; Šachová, Dana (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a distal part humerus fracture diagnosis Objective: The aim of the first part of the work is a detailed acquaintance with theoretical knowledge about fracture of the distal humerus and treatment options. In the final part, the described procedures are based on information from current studies and articles at the scientific level. The special part contains a case report of the treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of distal humerus fracture and used physiotherapeutic methods, which were mentioned in the theoretical part. Methods: Data for this work was obtined during bachelor's practise. All methods used in the special part of this work were taught during the bachelor's study od physiotherapy at FTVS. Key words: distal part humerus fracture, physiotherapy, humerus, elbow joint
Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement
Košatková, Zuzana ; Chroustová, Kristina (advisor) ; Kacrová, Monika (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement Aims: The aim of this thesis is to provide a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of a total hip replacement which had been preceded by hip dysplasia. Methods: Examination techniques and methods, which are taught at the bachelor's degree level at FTVS UK were used within this case study observed at the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic in Prague. As part of the patient's treatment the medical history was established and an initinal kinesiological analysis was performed, based on which the aims of the following therapy were determined. The therapy consisted of sort tissue techniques, joint play mobilization, individual kinesiotherapy and locomotion training. Emphasis was also placed on autotherapy. At the end of the treatment, a final kinesiological analysis was performed after which the effect of the therapy was evaluated. Results: During the treatment the swelling of the lower left leg and of the surroundings of the surgical wound dissipated. The pain of the operated joint and the left thigh alleviated. The range of motion of the left hip and knee increased. There was an increase in muscle strength of the weakened muscles and the joint play was restored....
