Michaela Stupková Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the facts about liver transplantation including an example of physiotherapeutic treatment on a specific patient after liver transplantation. The thesis is written from a physiotherapeutical point of view. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of two parts - theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part contains information about anatomy, physiology and pathology of the liver, including liver diseases, description of the transplantation process and physiotherapeutic techniques used after the surgery. All of this information was obtained from scientific literature. The special part of this thesis describes the case study of a specific patient after undergoing liver transplantation including a description of physiotherapeutic care, examinations and therapeutic units. This part was created during my practice in the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague between 6th and 31st January 2019. Author: Tereza Šťastná Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after liver transplantation Aims: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to process theoretical knowledge about liver, liver transplantation and to perform a case report of a patient who underwent transplantation. Methods: This thesis is created on the basis of continuous monthly practise at the Institute of clinical and experimental medicine at the department of KARIP, which took place in the period from 6th to 31st January 2020. Thesis is divited on theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part are compiled informations about anatomy and physiology of liver, than about liver diseases and liver transplantation. In the end of this part are informations about physiotherapic care after liver transplantation. Practical part conteins case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient after liver transplantation and daily records of individual therapies. The bachelor thesis is written from the point of view of a physiotherapist. Results: The patient was in coma almost whole time of therapies, that fact greatly affects their process. Author: Veronika Sosnovcová Title: The case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after liver transplantation Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate theoretical knowledge of liver transplantation and to introduce the case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of the patient who has undergone a liver transplant. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first part is the theoretical part, which summarizes basic information about anatomy, physiology and patology of the liver. The next chapter is about one of the main treatment options in advanced liver disease, what is the liver transplantation. Physiotherapeutic procedures that can improve patient's condition are mentioned in the last chapter of the theoretical part. The special part describes the case study of the patient after liver transplantation. It also includes the record of individual therapies, which was applied during the practice in IKEM in January 2020. Results: The patient improved after the therapies. The most important progress was that patient could walk unassisted along the corridor and even up and down the stairs. The patient became completely independent and was discharged home. Title: Case of physiotherapy care of a patient after liver transplantation Aims: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the theoretical knowledge about liver transplantation and to introduce a possible example of physiotherapeutic care for a particular case report of a patient after liver transplantation. Methodology: The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and special. The theoretical part contains general knowledge of liver anatomy and physiology, problems of pathophysiology, transplantation and physiotherapeutic procedures and methods concerning liver transplantation. All information in the theoretical part was taken from the literature. A special part of this bachelor thesis was processed on the basis of continuous professional practice in the period 7. 1. 2019 - 1. 2. 2019 in IKEM Prague. It is processed as a case report of a certain patient. Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of a polymorbid patient after liver transplantation Objectives: The aim of this work is a conclusion of theoretical knowledge about physioterapeutic care after the liver transplantation, systematic leading and recording of terapeutic units, tracking the results and overal apreciation of all proposed therapies of polymorbid patient after liver transplantation. Methods: This thesis is split into two parts, first part is research of resources about given topic, second part is case report of polymorbid pacient after the liver transplantation with whom I worked in the time of 18.1. 2019 - 30.1. 2019 in IKEM in Prague. Title: Case study of physical therapy treatment of a patient after a combined pancreas and kidney transplantation Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to elaborate on case studies of the patient after a combined pancreas and kidney transplant from the perspective of a physical therapist. The case report is supplemented by theoretical information on transplantation and the patient's disease, which is diabetes mellitus. Methods: The thesis is divided into a general and a practical part. Based on the scientific literature, the general section summarizes basic knowledge about diabetes mellitus, simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation, and a subsequent physical therapy treatment. The practical part of the thesis describes the process of rehabilitation that the patient underwent during my continuous professional practice at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine from January 22 to February 16, 2018. Results: During therapy sessions, the patient's overall physical condition and independence were rehabilitated, which were the main goals of the treatment plan. Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of a post-liver transplant paediatric patient. Aims: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to provide a summary of the issues surrounding liver transplantation, creating a case study of a post-liver transplant paediatric, and suggesting short- term and long- term goals for therapeutic units, and an assessment of the effects of therapy. Methodology: This bachelor's thesis has been written on the basis base of my professional experience at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague from 8.1. to 2.2. 2018, where I worked with a post-liver transplant paediatric patient, and research of available resources. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a professional part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and physiology of the liver and gall bladder, liver tumours, liver transplantation and subsequent physiotherapy. The case study of the patient is described in the professional part. Result: The patient exhibited considerable great progress, particularly with regard to respiration, when the patient underwent endotracheal extubation. Author: Jana Hrmova Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after liver transplantation Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to summarise the theoretical knowledge about liver transplants, with the use of evidence from a patient that had undergone a liver transplant. The thesis is written from a physiotherapeutical point of view. Methods: The thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. In the general part, theoretical information about liver diseases, Wilson's disease, liver transplant and physiotherapeutic treatment are discussed. All of this information is processed based on an academic literature and other peer reviewed sources. The practical part consists of a case study with a patient after undergoing a liver transplant, and a report of their rehabilitation, which was conducted as a part of a framework of a continuous physiotherapeutic internship at the Institute of clinical and experimental medicine in Prague from 2nd to 27th January 2017. Results: The patient was in a coma during the course of treatment which significantly slowed down the progress of the therapies. As the biggest result, we achieved an increase in muscle strength and the extent of joints. Furthermore, we successfully managed to fix the hypotonus and achieved a breath stereotype. The...
