The relationship between criminal personality and the way of commission serious crimes. Profiling with the application of geographical mapping

The topic of this thesis is the relationship between offender's personality and the way of commission serious crimes. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first of them introduces the basic concepts and terminology with respect to the offender's personality. Attention is focused on personality disorders and on some sexual paraphilias that are the most important for forensics. The topics that relate to offender's behavior are discussed as well - motivation, modus operandi, offender's signature, and the crime scene. The second part deals with psychological and geographical profiling. Various attitudes and theories are discussed. Third and at the same time the closing part of the thesis focuses on practical applications of knowledge derived from psychological and geographical profiling in a geographical information system. Two real cases of serious crimes are analyzed. The evaluation of the findings, and of the discussed methods is presented in the discussion. The appendices are placed at the back of the thesis and involve map outputs of the geographical profiling and a vocabulary of important words.

New prevention strategies in HIV infection

This bachelor theses deals with the new preventive methods in the fight against HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). Chapter 1 is aimed at the HIV characterization. The next chapters dwell on the preventive methods, whether these are ABC methods (abstinence from sex, being faithful, use of condoms), which belonging to the old preventive strategy in HIV struggle or innovation methods like male circumcision, vaginal diaphragm, microbicides and HIV vaccines. The final chapter deals with the situation in Czech Republic and various ways of educational training at czech schools.

The Foster Care for Temporary Period From the Point of View of The Foster Parents in South-Moravian Region

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the attitude of the temporary foster caregivers in the South Moravian region towards the institute of temporary foster care, mainly focused on the strong and weak points in relation to the placed children. The theoretical part of the text describes the history of foster care and its current forms. It analyzes the qualities the future foster caregivers must have and their preparation, what happens after the caregivers are entered into evidence and what kind of support is provided to them during their work. It is followed by the determination of the target group of children and the process of the care from the preparation happening prior to placing the child all the way to the child leaving the foster care. The last chapter is devoted to the pros and cons of such arrangement. The practical part provides a qualitative research analysis, using semi-structured interviews with the temporary foster caregivers.

Analysis of sex education lessons on schools in Liberec region

This diploma thesis is focused to the analysis of sexual education on high schools in Liberec region. The most part of the diploma thesis is composed by the questionnaire survey which was perfomed on two comprehensive schools, two secondary schools and two vocational schools. The research attended the students of the third school classes only (18-19 years old). The questionnaire survey was focused to the students knowledge and attitude towards the sexual education. I have defined 9 hypothesis based on the research which were statistically analyzed after that. It appears that the students of comprehensive schools have better knowledges than the students from other secondary/vocational schools and that the knowledges are different among the boys and girls. The congizance of sexual education generally appear as good. The teachers paying attention to this topic during the lessons because they consider the theme important as well as the students. On the other hand the survey revealed that the students did not learn any news during the school lessons in this respect which they know more likely from the Internet. It shows importance to integrate the sexual lessons to the primary schools rather that. Key words: sexual education, contraception, sexually transmitted infection, questionnaire survey.

Political Party Financing in Czech Republic: The way to the transparent system

Subject of the master thesis is an analysis of system of political party financing in Czech Republic and the thesis is structured in four chapters. The theoretical part, first and second chapter, focuses on general foundation and legislation of political party financing. Third chapter analyses models of financing on the basis of specific data of selected political parties and evaluate public funding and private funding. Fourth chapter concentrates on main issues of current system, analyses the proposal of Ministry of the Interior to change bill 424/1991 about grouping of political parties and political movements, and propose measures increasing transparency.

Is the system of the financing of political parties in the Czech Republic effective and transparent? Do political parties work as independent subjects in real? The goal of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the financing of political parties in the Czech Republic and is structured in three chapters. The first one describes general basis of the theme. The second chapter concentrates on the models of financing and current trends. Transparency and the control mechanism are analysed in the third chapter. To achieve the goals of the thesis serve information from the period 2001 - 2009.
