Trčálková, Pavla ; Chalupská, Tereza (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
Title: The effect of kinesio tape on the area of knee on locomotor activity in patients after stroke Abstract: This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluating the effect of kinesio tape on locomotor activity in patients after stroke. The purpose of this thesis is to compare quality of stereotype of the gait of this patients before and after application of kinesio tape on the area of the knee joint. The theoretical part includes detailed information on kinesio tape, its characteristics, its effects on the human body and how to use it in practice. The issue of stroke is outlined only marginally, mainly describes the clinical picture of patients with this disease. The pathologic gait of these patients is more discussed in more datail in the next charter, which deals with walking, its kinesiology and its neurophysiology. The following section deals with the anatomy of the knee joint and again is described the problem in this area of patients after stroke. The practical part is used the knowledge of the theoretical part. It contains three case reports of three patients, who had kinesio tape applied to the posterior side of knee joint, popliteal fossa and the ventral side of the thigh, over m. vastus lateralis. The duration of application was 24 hours, during which the patient had not any other kind of therapy. The...

Kubánek, Marek ; Heřmanová, Ivona (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
BACHELOR'S THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Marek Kubánek Supervisor: Bc. Ivona Heřmanová Title of the thesis: The use of physiotherapy procedures for patients with compartment syndrome in the context of arterial closures Abstract This thesis deals with physiotherapy methods used in the treatment of compartment syndrome. The first part describes the overview of the theoretical knowledge in anatomy, defines the basic concepts and finally deals with individual physiotherapy practices. The research is focused on comparing the Vojta method and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation at two patients with the diagnosis of compartment syndrome. One patient underwent therapy using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, the second patient Vojta reflex locomotion, both in the range of five therapies in five consecutive days. When comparing the two patients achieved a significant improvement in muscle strength. The objectification of measuring muscle strength muscle test was used according to Janda. The measurements resulted in significant differences in comparing the efficiency of both methods. Key words: Compartment syndrome, Physiotheraphy, Vojta's method, PNF, M. tibialis anterior syndrome
The effect of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident - objectivisation by a footscan

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Name and surname: Barbora Veličková Supervisor: Bc. Tereza Chalupská Opponent: Title: The effect of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident - objectivisation by a footscan Key words: kineziotaping, ankle joint, cerebrovascular accident, Footscan® Abstract: This bachelor thesis is focused on on the effect of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident. The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part I follow up the problematics of patients after cerebrovascular accident, the anatomy and kinesiology of ankle joint, function of foot and gait. Also I describe the methods and effects of kinesiotaping. In practical part I used a qualitative research, processing two cases. I objectivisated the effect of kineziotape by a Footscan®. Kinesiotaping is used as a complementary therapy combined with other physiotherapeutical methods. For the purpose of my bachelor thesis I used kinesiotaping separately for easier evaluation of results. The purpose was to find out if the application of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident enhaces the stand stability and gait. Both patients achieved a higher ROM in ankle joint, decreasing of edema in the area of aplication of kinesiotape and one...
The use of stability training in patients with chronic low back pain
Matějíčková, Helena ; Brožová, Kamila (advisor) ; Chalupská, Tereza (referee)
Chronic low back pain is an increasing phenomenon in highly developed countries. More and more people suffer from back pain and the age limit is decreasing. The search for an efficient preventive method and therapy is therefore crucial. With deeper understanding of human physiology, especially regarding the central nervous system, neurophysiological approaches come into interest. One of them is called sensorymotor stimulation, commonly known as stability training. It addresses the afferent system of human organism and by that influences cerebral centres of motor control, which optimize the function of deep stabilization muscles. The main function of these muscles is segmental stabilization of the spine collumn at rest and during dynamical activities. When these muscles aren't functioning properly, the spine collumn and surrounding structures suffer from overload, which results in back pain. Sensorymotor stimulation represents an efficient way of dealing with chronic back pains. Therefore, in this work I have been addressing the use of stability training in patients with chronic low back pain.
The use of taping and kinesiotaping in physiotherapy
Ševečková, Tereza ; Polavková, Radka (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
This thesis is focused on the possibilities of using taping and kinesiotaping at physiotherapy. Application of the methods was provided in three different diagnoses. These were instability of the knee joint after plastic operation LCA, hallux valgus and backpain in the third trimester of pregnancy. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the methods taping and kinesiotaping and it refers to the problems of the individual diagnoses. The practical part uses the qualitative research where three case reports are processed. The case reports contain introductory kinesiological analysis, progress of the therapy, checking kinesiological analysis and the therapy's evaluation. In the thesis taping and kinesiotaping are used individually despite the fact that these methods are just supplementary to the therapy. It is done in this way so as to be possible to evaluate the efficiency of these methods in selected diagnoses. Key words: taping, kinesiotaping, plastic operation LCA, knee joint after plastic operation LCA, hallux valgus, backpain, pregnancy
Deep stabilization system - contemporary findings, ways of testing and possibilities of physiotherapeutical influence
Hanzlová, Andrea ; Kotýnková, Martina (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
1 Abstract: Deep stabilizing system is a system of deep placed muscles, which are responsible for spine stability in calm position and during movement. Composition of this system is not totally explicit. Different authors, either native or foreigner, have different opinion on it. Kolář says, that this system includes deep cervical muscles, deep muscle system of the spine, muscles of the pelvic floor, stomach muscles and mostly diaphragm and its postural function. The content of this work in theoretical part is clarification of the term deep stabilizing system, introduction of its function and single elements in terms of anatomy, descriptoin of their basic functions, explanation of basic terms, which are relevant to this topic (for example posture, stabilization and stability). You can also find there different ways of testing and possibilities of physiotherapeutical influence of deep stabilizing system. Practical part of this work is qualitative research. For one month, I did therapy of two patiens, who have chronic back pain. After series of special tests, I detected disfunction of deep stabilizing system. I chose program of progressive dynamic stabilization of lumbar spine. You can find not only casuistry but also pictures of single elements of deep stabilizing system, few tests and program that I used in...
Osteoporosis, osteopenia and motoric activity
Brožová, Kamila ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Matoulek, Martin (referee)
The aim of the work was to evaluate the impact of physical activity on the bone health. There is some evidence that exercise-induced gains in bone mass in children are maintained into adulthood, suggesting that physical activity habits during childhood may have long- lasting benefits on bone health. During adulthood, the primary goal of physical activity should be to maintain bone mass. The age- related decline in bone mineral density is attenuated and the relative risk for fracture is reduced in people who are physically active. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Evaluation of balance in osteoporotic patients
Brožová, Kamila ; Sodomková, Gabriela (referee) ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor)
In this days the osteoporosis is getting to the centre of interest because of its increasing. It is the worldwide problem. Physical activity is one of the main factors affecting the course of disease. Suitable physical activity is possible to reduce a risk of falls, fractures with following, frequently fatal complications. Finding the ma in problems lowering balance ability of endangered population groups and subsequently targeted physical program it possible to include in preventive program of safety locomotion and give support to enhance quality of life for endangered persons.
