The intention is to resolving the overall composition of the locality, the proposed building complements the corner. When searching for an urban design concept has been taken of the objects forming the site: Church and Monastery of the Brothers of Charity and the hotel. Design of buildings and mass expression follows the architecture of the adjacent parcel at Austerlitz. Vertical corner stair element is a response to the verticality of the church tower.

HOUSE ON THE FOOTHILL - TOWN HOUSE IN THE HISTORICAL CENTRE

In the grip of streets and Ann's Bakery, near the historical center of Brno, is undeveloped plot of triangular shape. Plot has a specific complex topography and heterogeneous surrounding buildings. The proposed building responds to the urban context in the area and completes currently broken block buildings. Since this is an important visual axis Street Bakery, pointing to the center of the city, is located on the corner of dominant and visually appealing block gallery. A gallery right here is his essence. The unique solution is added gallery trio. To the west is traceable to the axis of Mendel Square, where the Museum of JG Mendel. The axis on the opposite side of the street Hus, which has its premises Museum of Applied Arts and Prazak Palace under the Moravian Gallery.

Housing is an important phenomenon that significantly affects the typology of cities. Many of the basic social needs are ensured by dignified housing. It is a premise of integration of the individuals to the human society. This dissertation will deal with a concept of cohousing, its history and with process of planning of construction. The work will define the target group of this specific form of housing and life of the whole community.

Social Housing – Forms of Community Housing

The paper describes different types of community housing and cohousing. Community housing is a type of housing for a specific group of people with the same interests or needs. From the social point of view, there are different communities: the elderly, single mothers, people with disabilities, and other people in difficult (housing) situations. Housing for these groups should be subsidised and managed “ from above”.
