Sandwich structure application on the formula car
Žídek, Tomáš ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Löffelmann, František (advisor)
The master thesis describes application of a sandwich construction for Formula Student car. It will replace the current tubular space frame according to FSAE rules. The introduction is focused on the information of international Formula Student competition, including TU Brno Racing Team. Then there are important rules for the construction of frames and composite monocoques. For the selected production technology are found strength properties of face sheets made of carbon and hybrid fibres. Another part of thesis deals with the design of the sandwich panel using analytical calculation to determine the bending stiffness. On the basis of these proposals are made three-point bending and shear tests. Using of FEM simulation is detected torsional stiffness of the tubular space frame and the monocoque concept from the proposed sandwich panels. The conclusion is devoted to a summary of the important information and possible monocoque manufacturing process.
Formula Car Monocoque Design
Žídek, Tomáš ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the design of a carbon fiber monocoque Formula Student car according to current rules. The first part is focused on construction solutions of frames used in Formula Student cars. Following is a summary of the important rules for constructing composite monocoque. Subsequently are described composite materials and their properties. The main part of the thesis deals with the structural design of the CAD program and a computational model to simulate the load case in FEM program. The obtained results from the analysis of the monocoque are compared with the values allowed by the rules of Formula Student. In conclusion of this thesis is evaluated the proposed composite monocoque.
Alternative fuels for internal combustion engines
Žídek, Tomáš ; Maršálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is processed a survey of the alternative fuels for the spark-ignition combustion engines. The properties and the production, the most important components, infrastructure of service station and representatives of the vehicles powered by the type of specific fuel are stated for these fuels. There are defined the benefits and disadvantages of alternative fuels. The properties and parameters are critically evaluated for individual fuel. The use of alternative fuels in the future is outlined at the end of this thesis.
Morality and law
Zídek, Tomáš Matjaž ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor) ; Urban, Michal (referee)
1 Morality and law For the most of us it is quite clear what law is. Most of us have certain idea what law represents. A lot of us may have a different idea, it is because of many elements which affect our law perception. On the most basic level, law is something which is connected to specific values in society. Based on this idea we can certainly say that law is something which guarantees balance in society and system which provides safety. On the other hand, morality is a subject of a discipline called ethics. This subject represents a system which provides and protects distinctive values which have different normative quality. This system is formed by high amount of appropriate rules of behavior and its way to realize this behavior. In the past, the connection between these two systems was very important, it was a noticeable fact that these two systems cooperate and communicate. Even though nowadays these systems are more and more divided, they still interact. In the law of Czech Republic the connection between morality and law can be observed especially in the good manners. Good manners are intentions which are projected throughout the whole law system. The main goal of good manners and morality is to fill the gaps in the law. Another important goal is also to straighten the perception of justice in the...

Polyphony in the work of J. B. Foerster and his contemporaries
Židek, Tomáš ; KOUTNÍK, Tomáš (advisor) ; CHVÁLA, Jiří (referee)
Josef Bohuslav Foerster (1859 - 1951) was a leading Czech composer of the late romantic era, like for example Josef Suk (1875 - 1935), Vítězslav Novák (1870 - 1949) and Otakar Ostrčil (1879 - 1935). This generation is sometimes called as "The first generation of Czech modern", but their musical language is directly connected to oeuvre by famous Czech composers of the nineteenth century Smetana, Dvořák and Fibich. Foerster's musical language is mystical, lyrical and emotional, mostly replete rich harmony and especially specific polyphony. He was not only an important musician but also a thinker, writer and painter. Until today, his great composer's work is not valued and only sometimes performed. This thesis is concerned with the specific traits of composer's musical language, polyphony, which is often different from Bach, Beethoven or Smetana. We can talk about specific free polyphony and way of musical thinking dependent on many things and ideas. This cause and many others aspects provide particular problems for performers and music listeners. The dissertation includes many analyses of selected compositions by Foerster, which are also compared with others by his contemporaries, especially Suk and Mahler (1860 - 1911), who was Foerster's close friend. In liturgical music Foerster created a unique and very distinctive product of the Caecilian reform movement in church music, which had its striking culmination in the Czech lands during Foerster's lifetime. Extensive choral oeuvre is made in a specific musical-poetic style. Symphonic compositions, especially five symphonies are to a large extent autobiographical; and operas are in a realistic concept, which we can compare with dramas by Leoš Janáček (1854 - 1928). The thesis is based upon author's wide experience of performing composer's work and large volume of literature with some works written by J. B. Foerster. The author tries to solve problems of performing this music, as a conductor, choir master, educator and propagator.
