Experimental measurements and simulations of low-power communication network BUT with long-range
Štrajt, Martin ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with the description, simulation and measurement of coverage of a long-range low-power communications network using LoRaWAN technology. Here is the definition and integration of modern Low Power WAN networks, a brief description of specific technologies and an example of their real use. The theoretical part explains in detail the used modulation, frequency and associated constraints. The practical part contains four simulations of city coverage and simulation of building coverage with description of simulation methods. The last chapter of the measurement describes the description of the measurement methodology, the measuring device, and the graphically presented results of the measurements with their verbal evaluation.
Wireless communication analysis using software defined radio
Štrajt, Martin ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the use of software-defined radio as a probe for monitoring the operation of wireless communication according to the IEEE 802.11a/g standard. In the theoretical introduction, the concept of software-defined radio as a hardware device with software programmable circuits enabling the transmission or reception of signals in theoretically any frequency band is introduced. The introduction also contains adescription of selected devices and the IEEE 802.11 protocol with its most used additionsand modulations. In the first part of the practical part of the work, wireless communication is capturedusing a wireless network card in monitoring mode. The intercepted communication was decrypted and this decrypted traffic was compared with the data captured by the probe within the network. These results then served as acomparative basis for software-defined radio capturing. The focus of this work is to verify the capabilities of software-defined radio and its use for sniffing wireless communicationin the frequency band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The attempt to use a software-defined radio here results from the scalability and adaptability that a wireless card cannot offer due to fixed hardware parameters. LimeSDR mini, LimeSDR and bladeRF 2.0 devices were used for capture. First, the configuration of the operating system, the installation of drivers and programs for control and work with selected devices are described. After verifying the functionality of the software-defined radio, a model of a signal decoder with the parameters of the IEEE 802.11g standard captured from the radio spectrum was put into operation. Finally, the data streams captured by the software-defined radio and the wireless network card were compared side by side. The results showed that the software-defined radio in the used configuration captures only a part of the total volume of transmitted frames.
The ecology of mental skills development in Canadian athletes: person-process-context-time
Štrajt, Martin ; Mudrák, Jiří (advisor) ; Jonáš, Juraj (referee)
This bachelor's thesis examines the development of mental skills in Canadian athletes. It does this by linking Urie Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory to the underlying themes of sport psychology. In the literature review section, chapters on motivation, specific mental strategies, talent perception, athlete development and education, and the Canadian context are developed in addition to the person-process-context-time model. The thesis offers various connections between the theories and emphasizes certain factors that most influence an athlete's personality and development. At the end of the theoretical section, an overview of several Canadian projects that influence the Canadian sport context is offered. The content of the practical section is qualitative research that examines the development of mental skills in Canadian university athletes. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and then evaluated through thematic analysis. The results of the research offer an overview of the themes related to motivation, the process of mental skills training and the associated role of sport psychology, followed by the characteristics and mind-set of the athletes, and finally the athlete's environment.

Experimental Network Coverage Measurement
Štrajt, Martin
The primary focus of my project is a long-range low-power communication technology called LoRaWAN. It contains the definition and integration of Low Power WAN Networks and also lists of some uses and some examples of representative. The theoretical part explains in detail the used modulation, frequency and associated limitations. The practical part includes simulation of coverage with a description of the simulation method and the last chapter of the measurement, which describes the description of the measuring device, the measurement methodology and a brief outline of the connection the device to the network.
