Art therapy focused on the blind people

The goals of my work, "Art therapy focused on the blind people," i.e. blind people can draw, they are interested in drawing and the therapy improves their psyche. Two-year research with blind girl Iva was focused on the learning and improving of her ability to draw. I added the interviews with blind artists, their opinions to the art therapy and art classes.

Assertion of graduates from specialized classes for students with dyslexia

This graduation theses endeavour to find out the efficiency of care of specialist classes students, how former students evaluate classes for dyslexic students and how they assert themself. The main goal is to analyse and compare concrete answers from absolvents of those classes collected from questionnaires. Furthermore based on those gathered results is trying to consider in which direction these high schools should be heading to, to be most satisfactory for the students - specialized classes absolvents.

Consequences of Sexual Abuse

The dissertation deals with the consequences that women, who were sexually abused in their childhood, carry into their adult age. It contains detailed information about circumstances and nature of sexual abuse, origin of the offender and his or her victim, method of investigation, possibilities of expert care and legal consequences of criminal offence. Based on life experience of individual respondents, the goal of this dissertation is to investigate the relation of sexual abuse by a family member and approach of person who is the closest to the victim of abuse. The key points included in the casuistries characterise the investigated women and help discover the relations between family relationships and consequences of sexual abuse in the adult age.

Psycho-social consequences of the cochlear implantation

The theme of this diploma thesis is the cochlear implant (electronic auditory prosthesis) and its psycho-social consequences. In the theoretical part I deal with hearing defects in general, then with the early diagnosis of hearing defects and its importance for the cochlear implantation. I introduce the process of the implantation, its history and news in the technology of this area. During my study visit I had an opportunity to use the specialist literature in the Netherlands and therefore compare the Czech and the Dutch situation. In the practical part of this work I monitored (in assistance of a questionnaire) psycho-social consequences of the implant of the teenage users (its influence on feeling of independence, family relationships, communication and study results).
