The aim of the Bachelor thesis "Financial Situation assessment of the company and suggestions for its improvement" is to analyze current state of a particular company and submit a proposal for improvement of its financial situation. In the first part of the Bachelor thesis defines the aims and the methods, which can be used to improve the financial situation of the company. Further is presented PERFO LINEA a.s. company and analysis of its current state. The second part of the Bachelor thesis is based on analysis of the problem and a proposal to its solution
Molecular genetic characterization of the rare tumours of the urogenital tract.
Šteiner, Petr ; Vaněček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Španielová, Hana (referee)
The aim of this study was molecular characterization of four types of renal tumours (papillary renal cell carcinoma [PRCC], tubulocystic renal carcinoma [TCRC], pseudorossette forming renal carcinoma [PRRC] and unclassified renal carcinomas [URC]) and two types of rare tumours of the testes (Adult type of granulosa cell tumours [ATGCTs] and Incompletely differentiated sex cord stromal tumours [ISCSTs]). In case of TCRC the activity of signalling pathways involved in angiogenesis was studied. The aim was to determine the suitability of antiangiogenic agents for treatment of TCRC. Next, the methylation profile of 24 tumor suppressor genes was studied in TCRC and PRCC in order to analyze their similarity. Eventual differences could be helpful tool in differential diagnostics. Also, spectrum of chromosomal aberrations was analyzed by array-CGH in one case of PRRC and two cases of URC. Any unique aberration found would be useful in differential diagnostics of these tumors. Last, but not least, the specificity of mutation c.402C>G of FOXL2 gene for ovarian ATGCTs was verified by studying its occurrence in testicular ATGCTs and ISCSTs. Analysis of mRNA levels did not reveal any enhanced activity of the studied signalling pathways. Cluster analysis of methylation profiles showed close relationship between PRCC a...
Correlation of Molecular-Genetic and Morphological Markers of Rare Salivary Gland Tumors
Šteiner, Petr ; Skálová, Alena (advisor) ; Laco, Jan (referee) ; Šíma, Radek (referee)
Thesis deals with relationship between histomorphological and molecular-genetic findings of selected salivary gland tumors. Author, as a molecular-cytogeneticist mainly focused on detection of tumor-specific translocations of the salivary gland tumors which can serve as differential diagnostic markers. The thesis is composed as a commented files of authors own publications, and it is divided into four parts. First part deepens the knowledge of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma. It was proved, that t(6;9)(q22-23;p23-24) resulting in fusion of transcription factors MYB-NFIB, or more rarely t(8;9) resulting in MYBL1-NFIB fusion represent robust differential diagnostic marker of adenoid cystic carcinoma. Further it was proved, that the 1p36 deletion can serve as an unfavorable prognostic indicator of adenoid cystic carcinoma, as the patients with 1p36 deletion had significantly lower survival. Second part summarizes new developments about mammary analogue secretory carcinoma (MASC), which was described by our group as a new salivary tumor entity characterized by translocation t(12;15)(p13;q25) resulting in ETV6-NTRK3 fusion. Another novel observation is a discovery of ETV6-RET fusion in a subset of MASC cases. Further, the first two MASCs of nasal mucosa origin have been described. Third part consists...

Changes in the pension system in the Czech Republic effective from 1 January 2013 and their impact on public budgets
Steiner, Petr ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Prudká, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this study is to determine the quantitative impact of changes to the pension system in the Czech Republic valid from January 1, 2013 on public budgets. Changes include the introduction of a funded second-pillar pension scheme and the adjustment of pension schemes under the third pillar. The theoretical part describes the basis of social policy in the areas of pensions, and characterize and compare concepts of pension systems. Following practical part analyzes recent developments in the Czech Republic, the essence of changes to the pension system and the interest of the population to use them. The aim of the study is fulfiled by quantifying impact on public budget. Subsequent analysis shows that changes may help to stabilize it in the next decades, however, a departure from the PAYG system is not required. The introduced second pillar can be problematic in ceratin respects for participants. Additional pension savings in the third pillar is a useful supplement to old age security.
Principles of taxation in Czechoslovakia during 1918 - 1938 and in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2008
Steiner, Petr ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Jílek, Josef (referee)
This work's task is to compare the basic principles of taxation in Czechoslovakia during 1918 - 1938 and in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2008. It shows what the Czechoslovakian tax system in the previously mentioned period was based on and which principles it has been based on in the Czech Republic since 1993. It emphasizes the comparison of the forms of taxation, the structure of taxes and the contribution of individual taxes in the national budget's income. Important is also the outline of how the collected taxes are used in the state budget -- how the resources are and used to be redistributed and for which purpose, what targets were and are being reached and how the targets differ depending on time and the government's interests. The work is also going to show the tax burden rate and its impact on the tax revenue and economic productivity comparing both of the observed periods. It will then describe the possible influence of the tax burden on the economic activity, possibly on other behavior of the population according to the economic theories.
