The grounding of landscape as a motive
Šolc, Jiří ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
The goal of proposed thesis is basic delimitation and grounding of landscape as a motive (landscape-motive) concept. Landscape-motive is set against 'abstract landscape' of natural sciences, and against 'lived landscape'. Its grounding is developed on Heidegger's understanding of man-world relationship and on his concept of spaciousness. Among other sources of diverse social sciences the most important are Heidegger's Being and time and Patočka's study Space and its problems. Questions directly concerning landscape are mostly inspired by M. Andrews' Landscape and Western Art. Interdisciplinarity influences also methodology based on reading of various landscape related social-scientific texts through heideggerian concepts. Last chapter is to a great extent based on introspective speculations seeking support of several thematically realated philosophical theories.

Design wireless network in the company including radio survey
Kopecký, Matěj ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Šolc, Jiří (referee)
My bachelor thesis focuses on IT infrastructure of business environment, followed by a proposal of solution (deployment of transmitters, connection to existing infrastructure, budget), which is complemented by real deployment of typologically similar or same solution, including radio surveys before and after the deployment. Thesis is divided into several parts. Introductory chapters deal with theoretical concepts, definitions and standards that are important to become familiar with the topic. Theoretical part is followed by practical part that contains detailed information on above sections. Goal of my thesis is to propose the most effective solution for specific organization. In this paper I'll try to avoid all known usual problems and errors. I'd like to achieve this thanks to my long experience with wifi as I've for several years run a wireless network with more than 600 users.
Distributed run of MMORPG applications
EvE Online a World of Warcraft a jsou popsány některé z technologií dostupných pro vývoj nových komerčních virtuálních světů.
Security of Enterprise VoIP Telephony Networks
Šolc, Jiří ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on enterprise VoIP telephony network security. Introduces brief comparison of old analog and digital voice networks and IP telephone networks with special focus on VoIP system security. The goal of the thesis is to identify the risks of implementation and operation of VoIP technologies in enterprise environment and so thesis brings some conclusion how to minimalize or avoid these risks. First two chapters briefly introduce the development of telephony technologies with differentiation of enterprise telephone network from public telephone networks. Further it describes individual technologies, digitalization of voice, processing the signal and VoIP protocols and components. Third chapter focuses on infrastructure of telephony networks with special interest for architecture of IP telephony and ways of establishing call processing. It describes data flows for further security risk analysis, which this technology came with. Fifth chapter is about enterprise security standards in common and is trying to describe information security management system (ISMS) adopting VoIP technology. Individual security threats and risks are described in sixth chapter, along with known methods how to avoid them. Final parts of thesis concludes of two real situation studies of threats and risks of VoIP technologies implemented in environment of small commercial enterprise and medium size enterprise, in this example represented by University of economics. These chapters conclude theoretical problems shown on practical examples.
