Smoking of senior Citizens

The first part of my work is focused on an old age, growing old, smoking as a bio - psycho - social problem and on the previous Czech researches of the same topic. In the second part I deal with the research surveys in which the results from the questionnaires are analysed and presented. The aim of my bachelor work was to find out the prevalence of the seniors' smoking, to find out the difference in a presence of the chronical illness between seniors smokers and non-smokers and to realize whether the seniors were informed by medics, doctors or nurses about the harmful effects of smoking and its consequences on their health.

Perception of the health risks resulting from health, lifestyle and professional strain of teachers of various school levels

Perception of health risks from lifestyle and work psychic load of teachers from different school levels Introduction: It is well known that the teaching profession is associated with numerous health risks. Teachers are exposed to excessive mental work and sensory stress, long working in a forced position at increased risk of noise, infections and voice disorders. Compared with the general population, there are more frequently found diseases related to occupational stress. Aim: To determine the perception of health risks arising from particular health state, lifestyle and workload of teachers from different school levels. Methods: In the context of cross-sectional epidemiological study we used an anonymous questionnaire enquiry to obtained data from 484 respondents, ranging from 201 primary school teachers, 227 teachers of secondary schools and 56 university teachers. We have investigated the presence of risk factors and their perception by teachers with regard to the school level, age and gender of the respondents. Working psychological stress was assessed by Meister questionnaire. Results: We found that many respondents were exposed to several risk factors simultaneously. The assessment of occupational stress and quality of life in teachers of the 2nd level of elementary schools

(in English) The assessment of occupational stress and quality of life in teachers at the 2nd level of elementary schools Introduction: Problems of the assessment of occupational stress have belonged within one of the key issues of public health protection. Aim: The main goal was to comprehensively assess the extent of occupational stress and quality of life of teachers at the 2nd level of elementary schools, using salivary cortisol as a possible objective marker. Another aim was to evaluate the quality of life of teachers. Methods: We performed an anonymous survey (a cross-sectional study) in 142 teachers at the 2nd levels of elementary school (reference group) and 136 firefighters (comparison group). Rate of occupational stress was assessed by using of the Meister Questionnaire. Subjectively perceived stress was subsequently objectified by determining of salivary cortisol. For the evaluating of quality of life, we used shorter version of the questionnaire WHO QoL-BREF 26. Results: Our investigation showed that teachers perceive the level of their occupational stress was worse than in firefighters. Quality of Life of the Patients with chronic and tumor pulmonary Disease

Bachelor thesis describes the quality of life in patients with the chronic obstructive pu\monary disease (COPD), and with the lung tumors. Thesis is being divided into two parts. In the first - the theoretical one, the pathology, diagnostics and therapy of both the diseases are mentioned. This part also elucidates the term "Health related quality of life". The second portion of this paper concerns with the subjective feelings of patients and their look in the quality of life affected by their disease. Special attention is devoted to the smoking as one of the risk factors. Quantitative questionnaire has been used to obtain the results. The outcomes of the investigation have been registered into the graphs and tables. All this research has been performed in the hospital Pardubice. 98

Influence of the life style resulting in the obesity

Bachelor's thesis deals with an influence of the lifestyle resulting in obesity. In the theoretical part of the thesis I focused on the definition of a healthy lifestyle and on introducing of the problematics of obesity, its diagnostics, possibilites of treatment, risks and importance of the obesity prevention. The Empirical part is focused on the analysis of the clinic's for reduction of overweight and obesity clients questionnaire surveying. I tried to assess how the lifestyle is reflected on the nutrition condition of the selected group, to evalute the nutrition condition of clinic's clients and their physical activity and find out their attitude to their own health together with treating with it concerning the overweight and obesity.
