The notice of termination
Škopek, Petr ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
The purpose of the thesis is to provide a summary of the legal regulation and to point out legal problems connected with the Notice of termination in the Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of eleven chapters, the introduction and the conclusion. Chapter One is introductory and defines concept and position of Labour law in the system of law in the Czech Republic and function of Labour law. Chapter Two examines, in general relation, between Civil law and Labour law. In chapter Three, author tries to explain legal regulation of legal acts. The chapter consists of two parts. Part one focuses on legal regulation of legal acts in the Civil Code and Part two focuses on legal regulation of legal acts in the Labour Code. Chapter Four describes basic principles of Labour law. In chapter Five is short excursion to the history of labour legislation in our territory. This chapter is divided into three subchapters according to some important historical events of our labour legislation. Chapter Six concentrates on domestic source of law in the area of notice of termination. This chapter is divided into three parts. First part is about constitutional acts, second part is about statutes and third part is about case law in the Czech Republic. In chapter Seven are described international source of law in the area...
Effect of stress on the expression of some neuropeptides and their receptors in the heart and CNS, by using biochemical and immunofluorescent procedures
Škopek, Petr ; Klenerová, Věra (advisor) ; Dušková, Jaroslava (referee) ; Okruhlicová, Ľudmila (referee)
Introduction and aim: Investigation of neuropeptides became in the center of research activities due to extensive peripheral and central modulatory effects of these peptides and due to their possible therapeutic use. Our laboratory is involved in the study of oxytocin (OT) and its analogs under physiological state and under stress, our studies ranged from the molecular- biological to behavioral studies. The aim of this work was the study of central regulatory role of OT and its analogs together with newly discovered neuropeptides galanin and galanin like peptide in the hypophysis. Recently, OT was included into the cardiovascular hormones. The aim of this work was also the study of OT, Gal, GalLP and their receptors in the heart under physiological state and under stress. Central effects of neuropeptides we tested in the behavioral studies. Another aim was synthesis of Gal, GalLP and its analogs and chimeric molecule of oxytocin with flurescent marker. Methods: We elaborated methods for immunofluorescent estimation of expression of neuropep- tides and their receptors, Western blot procedure and method of RT qPCR for the expression of mRNA of estimated genes. We used behavioral tests to detect central effects of peptides. We used acute stress developed in our lab. Peptides and chimera with...

Estimation of Tritium Activity in the River Vltavawith Respect to the Liquid Wastes from the Nuclear Power Plant Temelin.
ŠKOPEK, Petr
The main goal of this Thesis was to measure tritium activity in the Vltava River and in the vicinity of Temelín Nuclear Power Plant (hereinafter referred to as JETE) with the following objectives: Possibility to use the outlet of waste water damping unit (hereinafter referred to as VTOOV) as a control alerting system for nonstandard events in JETE, furthermore, monitoring of possible correlations between volume activity of tritium measured in VTOOV and activity above the limit value of the first quality class in selected sections of the Vltava River as well as comparison of the measured values with the results of other authors, and, finally, assessment of the relevance of the water quality estimated by the volume activity of tritium to the water quality according to other ingredients, i.e., stable isotopes of some metals and risk elements as well as general physical and chemical indicators. Theoretical part of the Thesis deals with radioactivity in general, activity of tritium, with regard to operation of nuclear plants, over the world and, especially, in the Czech Republic. The actual work consisted of collection of samples at predetermined places, preparation of these samples for measurement and measurement of tritium activity using scintillation spectrometer with liquid scintillator. Furthermore, basic chemical and physical properties of water, concentration of selected elements and also some anions were determined. The collected data were used for classification of waters from individual collection places into quality classes according to ČSN 75 7221. In all analyzed cases no activities were found which exceeded the limit values of liquid outlets from Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, given by regulations issued on waters by the District Health Office in Ceske Budejovice according to §8 of Act No. 138/73 Coll., in compliance with SÚJB requirements. This Thesis could be beneficial for possible utilization of VTOOV as a control alerting system for nonstandard events in JETE and also for assessment of impact of wastewaters from JETE on waters of the Vltava River.
