Attitudes of the Czech public towards migration and international migrants

This diploma thesis aims to analyze the attitudes of Czech society towards migration and international migrants in the context of the migration crisis between 2014, 2015 and 2017. The basic theoretical premises are mainly based on the theory of group threats, the theory of social identity, the contact hypothesis and socio-demographic characteristics. Using the analysis of the preferences of the Czech public towards individual immigration groups, the work will reveal changes in respondents' likes and dislikes. The conclusion will focus on the behavior of the respondents in the crisis and analyze which groups of respondents have changed their sympathies and antipathies towards individual migration groups and evaluate the conditional factors that influenced the attitudes of the respondents. The thesis draws on data from nationwide research of the Center for Public Opinion Research of the Institute of Sociology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v.v.i. commissioned by the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development of Charles University in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Protective medical treatment

1 Abstract Protective treatment and security detention The purpose of my thesis is to analyse protective treatment and security detention from the perspective of the current legislation and also to outline the planned legislation. The reason for my research is that I want to find out in force legislation for protective treatment and security detention, determine its faults submit a recommendation to supplement of the existing legislation that would correct these deficiencies. The thesis also deals with the question of the possibility of the imposition of protective treatment and security detention to perpetrators of serious criminal offences or who have not attained the age of criminal responsibility yet. The thesis is composed of twelve chapters, each of them deals with different aspects of protective treatment and security detention. Chapter One is introductory and lays down basic objectives of this thesis. Chapter Two describes the historical development of protective treatment and security detention. Briefly deals with dualism sanctions and then deals with the development of protective measures in the Czech environment, since the establishment of Czechoslovakia to the emergence of security detention and embedding of protective treatment and security detention in new Criminal Code. Argirópolis - aspects of essay and utopy

The purpose of this work is an interpretation of the essay Argirópolis written by Argentine author Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. This work aims to determine the aspects of the essay and the utopia in Sarmiento΄s work; the interpretation, i. e. reading of the text in wider context, integrates Argirópolis into the contexts of the essay and the utopia in order for the present work to transcend the writing΄s historical ambit and portray the timelessness of Sarmiento΄s ideas. The first part of this work examines the essayistic genre, describes its genesis and sources in Europe and Latin America. This section accentuates the singularity of the Latin American essayistic tradition and presents the basic characterization of the form of essay. The analysis of essayistic aspects of Sarmiento΄s book is based on characteristic attributes of the essay. The second part of the work is focused on the utopia. In the context of the utopia, this work attempts to elucidate why Sarmiento preferred the genre of essay to the novelistic genre, while creating a book containing utopian aspects. The last part of the present work is focused on the peculiarity of the Latin American utopian thinking and includes the analysis of the aspects of the utopia in Argirópolis.

Euthanasia - Yes or No?

This thesis deals with the question of euthanasia, especially its concept in the book Good death? of Hans Küng. First chapter contains definition of euthanasia. I describe term euthanasia and its forms. Second chapter presents history of euthanasia from ancient times to modern times and also the way how euthanasia is understood today. Third chapter deals with palliative and hospice care. Further are mentioned some arguments for and against legalization of euthanasia. In the last chapter is analysed the book of Hans Küng who consider euthanasia as dignified end of human life.

The Program of Reconstruction of the Rural Settlement Kovářov

This bachelor thesis is focused on planning of development of a rural settlement, specifically on The Program of Reconstruction of the Rural Settlement Kovářov.This program is based on the analysis of literature about solved area, on the analysis of territorially and locally developing materials and on the analysis of questionnaire research. Firstly geographical features of rural settlement are dealt in the thesis. Then the analysis dealing with development of country is realized and then there are chapters which analyse development materials of the settlement and which find out opinions of experts and inhabitants. Their aim is to gather proposals to the program of country reconstruction. The final chapter presents a structured complex of proposed activities of The Program of Reconstruction of the Rural Settlement Kovářov.
