The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical knowledge another for analyzes and research of the external and internal environment. The main objektive of the thesis is to assess whether the business plan is real.

The thesis consists of a description of HORPO´s business, an analysis of the current state of the retail unit, evaluation of the theoretical bases related to retail activities, and in the last part proposals of concrete solutions including the conditions of implementation and benefits of these proposals.

The aim is to base selection calculations (indicators) of financial analysis methods that reveal weaknesses, making proposals to improve the current economic situation of the company. The source of these calculations are data from the financial statements which are freely available on the company website.
