SDÍLENÁ EKONOMIKA V BRAZÍLII: GASTRONOMIE
Štěrbová, Denisa ; Dalonso, Yona (advisor) ; Čiháková Aguilar, Silvia (referee)
After years of boom, Brazil will experience a recession this year. There was a significant imbalance in recent years from a budgetary point of view, inflation and foreign exchange. Protectionist Brazilian policy don't support foreign trade. Therefore consumers in the current recessive market environment are more willing to work with so-called collaborative consumption, even though Brazil is a country with one of the highest crime rate and the level of trust of consumers is lower than in other countries. Sharing economy pioneer offering short-term accommodation Airbnb used FIFA World Cup to bring sharing economy to Brazil and before the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro the company is booming. The collaborative economy projects spread the values and culture of sharing and collaboration in other Brazilian cities. At the same time worldwide service, Uber (mobile-app-based transportation network) was banned from the country. This Master's thesis aims to analyze the cultural and legal environment in the frame of sharing economy in Brazil, in the field of gastronomy. Could the concept of home restaurants, so called "meal sharing", which is currently spreading in developed countries, work in Brazil?
Culture safety of medical devices and pacient safety
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Denisa
The quality issue of provided health care is the topic which is constantly getting more attention. In this area there is always even probably will be always - something to improve. The patients´ safety in healthcare facilities is affected by the so-called culture of safety. The research was conducted in six medical institutions of the South Bohemian Region, though seven were originally planned. However, I was not given the data here, probably due to the long term incapacity of the respondent. The research was focused precisely on the area of care quality and patient safety. A mixed method research (qualitative and quantitative) was deliberately used in this task. The aim was to map the most common causes of adverse events and then, based on the causes, to propose possible arrangements to prevent the occurrence of the causes. For this purpose five research questions were established. The outcomes obtained were processed into tables, plus the graphical representation of some was accompanied. Then, in the "discussion" chapter, the results were compared and analyzed in more detail.
Diagnostics of Clostridium difficile as nosocomial infections in Nemocnice ČB a.s. using methods of molecular biology.
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Denisa
Nosocomial infections caused by Clostridium difficile represent a substantial part of hospital-acquired infections in Czech hospitals. Intoxication by toxins produced by Clostridium difficile leads to serious damage to gastrointestinal tract and life of the patient may be in danger. The progress of intoxication could be quick, this is why reliable and time-efficient diagnostic methods are of great importance for efficient treatment of the patients. Bacterial toxins are not produced during the whole life cycle of Clostridium difficile. This is why it is better to detect bacterial DNA which is always present in the bacterial cells, not the toxins. In Nemocnice ČB a.s. (České Budějovice municipal hospital) I compared methods based on toxins detection (?hyplex? ClosTox? and ?hyplex? ClosTox 027? by BAG Health Care) with a method based on DNA detection (real-time PCR ?Xpert C. Difficile? by Cepheid). I found out the real-time PCR method is much quicker. It takes one hour to prepare the samples and to obtain analytical result for this method. Both tests based on toxin detection are much more time consuming. It takes up to 5 hours to complete them. I conclude the real-time PCR is much quicker analytical method and it allows Clostridium difficile detection during all life phases of the bacteria.
