The Spanish Inquisition

This thesis revolves around the Spanish Inquisition, ranging from its creation in the 15th century to its disolution in the 19th century. In this thesis there can be seen the reasons of the creation of the inquisition as well as the effects it brought to the different inhabitants of the Spanish territory. This thesis also talks about how the inquisition carried out its "autos de fe", how it judged people and, in general, how it acted on a daily basis in the spanish society. There are also several mentions to influential people of the time, including inquisitors and other people, such as Teresa de Ávila, Francisco Goya or Isabel de Castilla. At the end of the thesis there is an explanation on how the inquisition is viewed today, both by Spanish people and the rest of the world.

Business Strategy Formulation

The main target of this thesis is the formulation of alternatives business strategy of a company Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna. The theoretical part of thesis is processed throught a literature review on the chosen topic. In the practical part of thesis there are used analyzes of internal and external enviroment. At the end of the thesis is mentioned synthesis of all gained findings and in simplification SWOT matrix are deduce possible alternatives of business strategy. Companies are advised to focus more on the weaknesses through using strenghts and opporunities of the comapany.

Historical aspects of environmental protection vs. current approach of environmental regulation; Could we learn from the past?

This thesis tries to prove that some historical aspects of forest environmental regulation could be more suitable than contemporary ones. It connects these historical aspects with free market environmentalism approach and provides a specific evaluation of this synthesis. Its aim is to draft application of functional historical aspects into current environmental regulation. The study confirmed the hypothesis that applicable historical aspects exists and they could be used into current environmental forest regulation. In accordance with FME principles and case -- studies results showed application of historical aspects solid recommendations to private law solution in the Czech silvicultural environment. However, there is a necessary further research impact assesment of incorporation precedents as a particular change in Czech justice system.

Nature Protection as a Part of Economic Policy: Land Trusts

Since 1980's, there have been many changes in the system of nature protection of the Czech Republic. Private environmental groups -- land trusts -- evolved. Institutions and social norms have become more important. The thesis compares institutional framework of conservation in the Czech Republic, based on rentals, voluntary agreements and ownership, with American land trust movement and its system of conservation easements, supported by both federal and local governments.
