The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the course of managerial planning and quality improvement. The thesis starts with a description of basic concepts related to the subject and their expansion.Continues with the quality planning phase, where I describe two quality planning methods. On this part follows chapter of quality improvement. Here I divided the subject and described it. In the penultimate chapter, I focused on the two most important methods used in planning and improving quality. The last chapter focuses on human factor in quality planning and improvement and its impact on the effectiveness of the described methods. In the end, I summed up my findings and evaluated them.

Risk of spare part of machines and equipment inventory control in decommissioning

This thesis deals with design of a suitable approach for managing the supply of spare parts for machines approaching decommissioning. The appropriate balance between outstanding risks related to equipment downtime and costs of holding spare parts is predicted by proposed systematic algorithm. Determination of key parameters affecting the whole process of spare parts inventory management and their subsequent use as a basis for Event Tree Analysis lead to finding an optimum set-up, which mitigates the overall impact of the planned reduction in spare parts storage levels. The new approach has a number of advantages including versatility of application for many types of machines, as well as a different outlook on a solution for the current issue in spare parts management.

Quality and Competitiveness

The Bachelor thesis has to familiarize the reader with problems of quality and competitiveness and the mutual relations between them. After that bachelor thesis show the basic forms of quality control which is the philosophy of TQM and ISO standard 9000. Last chapter of the thesis discuss the possibilities of quality control and its subsequent improvement. Everything is finally summarized and there are shown the possible development of quality control.

Theme of this bachelor‘s thesis is dependability management. Theoretical part consist of basic definitions of dependability, it describes relationship between dependability and quality and analysis dependability management system. Practical part focus on calculation of dependability coefficients and construct a bathtub curve of a real machine.

This thesis deals with issues related to quality – a condition of competitiveness. The introductory chapters define key words and they are followed by a product characteristic. The next chapters are devoted to the analysis of the particular methods, techniques and tools for improving quality, especially the strategies - Six Sigma and KAIZEN. In conclusion the possible future development in the area is outlined.

Using the RCM in machine maintenance

The master's thesis deals with maintenance in the theoretical part, this part is describing historical development and individual systems. Then explains concepts of vibro-diagnostics and electro-diagnostics. Further work will focus on complex maintenance systems such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). The implementation of RCM in the manufacturing company is the subject of a practical part.

Proactive system maintenance machines in engineering practice

This bachelor thesis concerns the technical diagnostics and maintenance of machine tools. The first part of it deals with this topic theoretically, the practical part focuses on the application of specific measures. Bachelor thesis includes vibrodiagnostic measurement of the lathe, suggestion of the proactive maintenance system and other activities that could help with the development of maintenance management in company SMC Industrial Automation CZ s.r.o.
