Methods of remediation of concrete sewers
Vondráček, Filip ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on getting familiar with the methods of remediation of concrete sewers, including shafts by trenchless technology. The first part was focused on materials, shafts, methods of cleaning and methods of determining the construction and technical condition of the sewerage system. In the second and third part, the methods of remediation of concrete sewer by trenchless technology were analyzed. The fourth part talks about the remediation of shafts using trenchless technology. In the fifth part, the knowledge from the previous parts is applied to a specific section of the sewerage system and a solution for the remediation of this section will be proposed.
Removal of selected medicines from waste water by oxidation processes
Úterský, Michal ; Rusník,, Igor (referee) ; Kučerík,, Jiří (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
A concept of removing of pharmaceuticals from a wastewater is become more important topic. Currently we can see the increasing consumption of pharmaceuticals worldwide and an increasing effective doses of pharmaceuticals due to the resistance of microorganisms. Generally, a medicine means an active substance or their mixtures. The medicine is used for positive influencing of human’s and animal’s health. Nevertheless, a long term presence of pharmaceuticals in the environment leads to chronic toxic aquatic organisms, possibilities of multiplication of multi-resistant pathogenic bacterial strains, deterioration of reproduction of animals and their endocrine system. My dissertation is focused on a removing of pharmaceuticals from the wastewater via advanced oxidation processes. Results of research showed that the advanced oxidation processes are able to reduce concentration of pharmaceuticals. Mainly priority of this problem is other cleaning level of the wastewater which flows away from urban WWTP to river. Wastewaters consist of large volume of pharmaceuticals due to excrements, urination and flushing of outdated pharmaceuticals. An efficiency of advanced oxidation processes on the removal selected types of pharmaceuticals is a part of practical selection of the dissertation.
Remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil products
Kabelíková, Eva ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes rehabilitation of groundwater which is contaminated with oil products. The first part describes methods of collecting groundwater from the sources together with forms possibilities and properties of groundwater pollution and characteristics of pollutants. In addition, oil substances and their properties are described, followed by methods of groundwater protection and liquidation of accidents. At the end of the first part, ways of remediation of contaminated groundwater are presented. The second part of the thesis contains an overview of companies that carry out remediation work and description of their solution technologies.
Design of the Střížov sewer network

Study of variants of sewerage of the village up to 500 EO
Hublová, Nikola ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of sewerage and waste water disposal in the selected municipality. In the first part, the village of Dlouhé is presented, including a description of the current state of the current sewage network and a description in the Waterworks and Sewerage Development Plan of the Vysočina Region. The second part of the thesis begins by listing individual alternatives. The design of a new sewage divisional sewer network and the repair of the existing unified sewer system are being addressed here. The next part deals with the design of a wastewater treatment plant, namely a mechanical-biological, container and root treatment plant. The pressure feeder to the wastewater treatment plant in Radešínská Svratka is also being addressed. The alternatives are described from the point of view of technology, economy and compliance with the PRVK of the Vysočina region, and their advantages and disadvantages are also presented. The aim of the work is to recommend the most advantageous solution for sewerage and waste water disposal.
