The Effect of Collision Parameters and Particle Diameter on Dynamics and Mixing Process of Granular Material by using Discrete Element Method.
Kozakovič, M. ; Paříková, A. ; Trávníčková, Tereza ; Kohout, M. ; Havlica, Jaromír
This contribution is focused on mixing dynamics and homogenization process of the granular material via Discrete Element Method. The simulation is conducted by using open-source code LIGGGHTS. The mixing process of approximately forty-two thousand monodisperse spherical particles is simulated in a vertical cylindrical mixer with two opposed flat blades. The rake angle of blades is 45°. The mixing process was studied with varying blade rotational speed (from 15 rpm to 540 rpm), coefficient of friction (from 0.05 to 0.9), coefficient of restitution (0.1 to 1.0), Poisson’s ratio (0.1 to 0.45) and particle diameter (2mm, 4 mm). Each of simulated processes was performed for 80 stirrer revolutions.\n\n\n\n

Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Sesquiterpene Lactones from Laserpitium archangelica.
Sajfrtová, Marie ; Kraus, V. ; Wimmer, Z. ; Cerhová, Marie ; Vlk, M.
The aim of the work was to describe the SFE of two STLs, archangelolide and trilobolide, from seeds of Laserpitium archangelica (Apiaceae). The objectives consisted in: (a) optimizing, investigating the SFE condition (pressure, temperature and concentration ofmodifier in scCO2) effect on the yield and concentration of STLs in extract, (b) \nDetermination of the SFE kinetics of major components in the extracts and (c) comparing the SFE with pressurised liquid extraction (PLE) and Soxhlet extraction.\n\n\n

Nucleation of H2SO4-H2O in Laminar co-Flow Tube: CFD Simulations and Analytical Modelling.
Trávníčková, Tereza ; Havlica, Jaromír ; Hrubý, Jan ; Ždímal, Vladimír
In this work the validity of two mathematical models differing in the complexity of flow dynamics is tested on two new nucleation isotherms measured by LCFT device. The first model is CFD and commercial software Fluent 16.2 is used for hydrodynamics evaluation. The second one is analytical programmed in the Matlab (Coflow).

Experiments on Bubble Breakup Induced by Collision with Vortex Ring.
Zedníková, Mária ; Stanovský, Petr ; Trávníčková, Tereza ; Vejražka, Jiří
The aim of present work is to provide an experiment, in which a single bubble collides with a single eddy. Such simulation of bubble-eddy collision provides experimental data suitable for validation of theoretical models..

Nitrilotriacetic Acid Assisted Deposition of Cobalt Carbonate for the Preparation of Niobia Supported CoMo Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts.
Kaluža, Luděk ; Zdražil, Miroslav
In the present work, we have prepared the impregnation solution by the new method not using volatile and corrosive NH4OH. Briefly, NTA is practically insoluble in water (0.13 g/100 ml) and pH of its water suspension is about 2.1. Newly, we applied cobalt carbonate, which is also almost insoluble in water (0.3 g/100 ml) and pH of its water suspension is about 8.3. However, we have found that very low solubilities of NTA and cobalt carbonate were sufficient for their mutual reaction in suspension.

Hydrodesulfurization NiMo Catalysts over Mechanochemically Prepared Gamma-Alumina.
Kaluža, Luděk ; Jirátová, Květa ; Tyuliev, G. ; Palcheva, R. ; Koštejn, Martin ; Spojakina, A.
The aim of the present work is to explore optimum preparation route of NiMo catalysts for the novel mechanochemically prepared Al2O3 in order to achieve high HDS activity. Specifically, the goals are: i) to up-scale the support synthesis to provide sufficient amount ofAl2O3, ii) to deposit NiMo from solutions of highly soluble precursors by conventional impregnation techniques (I), i.e. sequential impregnation using Mo (first) and Ni (second), and by co-impregnation (Ni+Mo together), i.e. using chelating agent NTA or nickel heteropolyoxomolybdate (HPO), iii) to deposit NiMo from solutions ofslightly soluble precursors by slurry impregnation (SI).\n
