Konečná, Petra ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Derlich, Stanislav (referee)
1 Abstract This Master's thesis entitled Legislation on treating animals in human care compares Czech and Australian legislation in selected aspects of three categories of animals in human care - farm animals, companion animals and animals used for scientific and other research purposes. The thesis is composed of 5 main chapters. The first chapter describes sources of law regarding treating animals in human care from the perspectives of international law, European Union law, federal Czech law and Australian law. The second chapter explains basic terms - an animal and its legal status and animal in human care in Czech and Australian legislation. The third chapter focuses specifically on farm animals as a category of animals in human care as it is detailed in Czech and Australian legislation. The fourth chapter deals with companion animals in both countries' legislation. Finally, the fifth chapter describes the legal protection of animals used for scientific and other research purposes in Czech and Australian legislation. . Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot
Staněk, Ondřej ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Title: Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot Author: Bc. Ondřej Staněk Department: The Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. David Obdržálek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: David.Obdrzalek@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: In this work, the author designs and implements a solution for programming small mobile robots using a visual programming language. A suitable visual programming front-end is selected and back-end layers are created that allow execution of the program in a mobile robot. The author designs and implements a virtual machine that runs alongside the original robot firmware on an 8-bit microcontroller with limited resources. A code generator layer compiles the visual representation of the program into a sequence of bytecode instructions that is interpreted on board of the mobile robot. The solution supports typical features of procedural programming languages, in particular: variables, expressions, conditional statements, loops, static arrays, function calls and recursion. The emphasis is put on robustness of the implementation. To verify and maintain code quality, methods of automated software testing are used. Advanced HDR image viewer
Wirth, Michal ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Wilkie, Alexander (referee)
04.01.17 abstract.txt 1 file:///home/misa/Desktop/dp/abstract.txt The primary purpose of this thesis is to determine criteria for a high- dynamic range (HDR) image viewer accented by computer graphics artists and other users who work with HDR images produced by physically-based renderers on a daily basis. Also an overview of already existing solutions is present. Based on both of them, a new HDR viewer is designed and implemented giving an emphasis on its memory and performance efficiency. For these purposes two alternative image data layouts, Array-of-Structures (AoS) and Structure-of-Arrays (SoA), are discussed and their impact is measured on the speed of an algorithm for changing image saturation which has been selected as a representative part of whole tone mapping process of the viewer. It has turned out that the latter type of layout allows the algorithm to run about 3 times faster or more under the conditions of a defined testing environment. The thesis has two main contributions. First it gives the above users a tool which could help them when working with HDR images. Second it indicates that there may be a potential of significant speed-up of implementations of tone mapping algorithms.

Extending Java Performance Monitoring Framework with Support for Linux Performance Data Sources

Title: Extending Java Performance Monitoring Framework with Support for Linux Performance Data Sources Author: Peter Júnoš Department: Department of Distributed and Dependable Systems Supervisor: Ing. Lubomír Bulej, Ph.D Abstract: Java Perfomance Measurement Framework (JPMF) is a library, that is able to hook into program and gain performance information in given watchpoints. Notable drawback of currect implementation are missing sen- sors, that would be able to measure performance statistics related to stor- age, CPU, memory and network interfaces under Linux. Linux does not provide unified way of accessing such performance statis- tics. They can be accessed using virtual file systems, syscalls and netlink interface. The goal of this work is extending JPMF, so that it will provide measurement of mentioned performance statistics in a Linux-specific way. French Film Festival
Dzian, Zuzana ; Klinka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kalfiřtová, Eva (referee)
Zuzana Dzian, roz. Forejtová Abstract Title of the thesis: French Film Festival Key words: French Film Festival, culture, film This work deals with the annual French Film Festival, especially in terms of organization and its overall progress. Its objective is to answer questions such as which institutions organize the Festival, who is involved in its funding, how the logo of the Festival and marketing are dealt with and who is responsible for selecting the films. It also represents the aim of the Festival and its cultural contribution. The thesis also focuses on the history of the Festival, including when and why the Festival arose, but also what changed in its structure over the years since its inception in 1996. This work shows among other things how the attendance of the Festival increased over the years. A few words are devoted to the future, especially to the forthcoming Festival 2012.

Cranial variability of Centra European beaver populations
Oberreiterová, Veronika ; Vorel, Aleš (advisor) ; Korbelová, Jana (referee)
Abstract: European beaver population in Central Europe originated from several refugial populations. Although these populations are currently well-researched, but the manifestations that may reflect genetic variability, are not known. In the Czech Republic there are beavers who spread from Saxony, from Magdeburg refugia, and other stocks that are created by beavers from Austria and Bavaria, or are the offspring of individuals coming from refuges in Poland, Russia, Norway and France. There are many indications that individuals from northern Bohemia (Elbe individuals of the population) have a considerable amount of differences. The aim of this study was to determine the exact age of mortalities beaver from the collection of the Department of Ecology FES. The most accurate estimate of the age is the closing of the basal opening of the tooth root and the sum of cement layers molars, but this method is time-consuming and technically challenging and therefore the work of trying to find another reliable criterion to determine the age of mortalities in the form of intervals of specific characteristics for each age class (juvenil, subadult, adult). Using statistical analysis, I conclude that the most cranial size determination for individuals age the length dimension is LCB (condyobasal length of the skull) and LAZ (zygomatic width of the skull). The most appropriate metristic characteristic to estimate the age appeared weight.

For the last time another description will talk about different sights of various resources (e. g. chronicles, newspapers, czech/ german army) on our fortification system.

The training material for training recruits: The system implementation preparation of construction maintenance in The Temelín Nuclear Power Station (ETE)
PALKOSKA, Tomáš
The thesis dealt with the issue of training recruits for the position of maintenance preparer construction of the Temelín Nuclear Power Station. As a basis for the methodology used and shared documentation ČEZ, a. s. suggested author's own teaching material, which will serve as a basis for training. Furthermore, he tried to look into the future in connection with the construction of new nuclear power plants, or improving the performance of existing sources in the Czech Republic.

Finanční analýza společnosti První stavební Chrudim a.s.
Cieslarová, Pavla ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Kraus, Pavel (referee)
