Ouroda, Tomáš ; Žikovská, Petra (advisor) ; Císařová, Zuzana (referee)
Diploma Thesis Summary The Internet and the copyright - the scope of liability of the individual entities and ways of protection against the piracy This thesis is focused on liabilitiy of the individual entities occurring on the Internet and piracy issues. It is primarily an analysis of how individual subjects may be responsible for violations of copyright rules. The aim of this thesis was not complete processing of all relevant aspects of piracy and the resulting responsibilities, but in particular to highlight the most topical issues discussed. I chose the topic because of personal interest to study the dynamically developing field of information technology law and intellectual property law. The work is divided into eight chapters, each dealing with a problem with this topic. The first two chapters talk about Internet in general and the ability this the Internet law to push through the Internet. Mentioned are mainly questions the legitimacy of law on the Internet, the reasons for the existence of the Internet law and especially the importance of copyright protection. Part three charts the formal sources of copyright in the digital era adapted to works of authorship. The focus of relationships on the Internet are issues of determining jurisdiction and applicable law, as described in Chapter Four....

Assessment of interpretation performance by different groups of users
Nekula, Libor ; Čeňková, Ivana (referee) ; Rejšková, Jana (advisor)
The objective of this theoretical-empirical thesis is to investigate the assessment of interpretation performances by various groups of recipients. In the theoretical part, we provide an overview of the research results achieved up-to-date by theoreticians such as Hildegund Bühler, Ingrid Kurz, Andrzej Kopczynski, Peter Moser, Barbara Moser-Mercer, Daniel Gile, Franz Pöchhacker etc. The research results suggest that users' expectations can differ depending on their experience, education and/or professional background. This fact prompted us to test the validity of this assumption by having interpreters' performances assessed by various groups of users, the hypothesis being that different groups of users are likely to assess performance differently. To verify the hypothesis, we recorded three interpreters, who consecutively interpreted an eight minute speech from English into Czech, and asked the three groups of users (interpreters, lawyers and regular users of interpreting services - employees of multinational companies) to rate the performance in questionnaires designed for the purpose of this experiment. Subjects were asked to evaluate different criteria. Having processed the data collected in the questionnaires, we found that the differences were of statistical relevance in two categories only -...

Employment policy in times of economic crisis (2008 - 2010)
Jarošová, Natálie ; Kotrusová, Miriam (advisor) ; Kotíková, Jaromíra (referee)
In my thesis, I focused on the issue of employment policy in times of economic crisis in 2008 - 2010. I examined what recommendations and measures have been implemented in this area at EU level and in which documents they were involved. After analyzing the European steps I studied the situation in the Czech Republic, as an example of an EU Member State. I looked for, what measures have been taken to promote employment and eliminate unemployment. I also watched how the Czech measures were linked to European steps. When writing, I progressed according to analysis of the documents described in book about qualitative research methods written by Hendl. First, I defined the research questions, and then I defined what I consider as a document. When I have found a certain amount of documents I chose those that were relevant to my theme until I came to the default number of documents useful for my work. After analyzing the documents I have come to the fact that all actions of Member States are in line with priorities defined at EU level. Therefore, all measures to promote employment, which were realised in the Czech Republic and other Member States, followed the steps taken at EU level. In the solutions to employment problems arising due to the negative effects of the economic crisis was a major priority to take...

Evaluation young generation through the eyes of 65+years old citiziens.
LEVÁ, Dominika
My dissertation project deals with an actual theme: the conditions of coexistence of two generations- the younger and the older one. This topic will gain more relevance in the viewpoint of irregular demographic development, when the ratio of older people to other age groups will rapidly increase. Relations among generations, especially between seniors and young people, are nowadays frequently debated; these relations could be regarded as not ideal, according to certain establishments. There is known quite much about the young people's approach and evaluation towards seniors, but what is not so well known, how seniors actually percieve this reality about themselves and what they think about the current young generation. My dissertation is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains an objectification of terms that are important for a better understanding to the given topic. In these chapters informations about some authors' results and findings, regarded to this problem, are introduced. There are listed terms such as generation X,Y,Z, an adolescence and early adulthood phase, a dotage and aging, and demographic development; also values and their creation, additionally modern coexistence trends characteristical for modern young generation. The definition of these contexts serves as a foundation for the practical part of my project. The empirical part deals with the peculiar research; its goal is to map out how citizens over 65 and more appraise the young generation. For data acquisition were used: a strategy of qualitative research, an interrogating method, and a semi-structured interview technique. Acquired data were processed through the case studies form and then analysed by coding. The basic research file for data collection was formed by seniors over 65 years living in České Budějovice. For the empirical part three questions were set: 1. Is the young generation appraised negatively by seniors? 2. What exposures of young people are the most frequent source of senior's criticism? 3. How do the citizens over 65 percieve a coexistence of not married heterosexual couples and homosexual couples in registered partnership? From informations acquired ensue that the seniors living in or near České Budějovice appraise the young generation negatively. Among the most frequent sources of their criticism belong an immodest behavior, disrespect to older individuals, laziness, and early sexual life. The over-half majority of seniors percieve the not married couples living together negatively, too. This meaning also persists when these couples have children or they plan to have them. According to seniors' opinion, it is children what should be a reason leading to a marriage. Regarding to a homosexual couples, the majority of seniors does not understand such relationship or coexistence. In he old generation, there are still enduring prejudices causing a disagreement with registered partnership, too. The appointed goal of my dissertation project was fulfilled. Results of my project can serve as a basis for further research, for organizations working with youth, or for a tuition.

NIEMCOVÁ, Markéta
The thesis reviews scientific findings relevant to the issues of stress and burn-out syndrome in its theoretical part. It focuses both on the general description of the two related phenomena and their detection and prevention options, as well as on the relationship between them and the individual{\crq}s specific professional specialization. The research part of the thesis concentrates on mapping out of severity and frequency of stress situations, on feelings associated with the burn-out syndrome, and on the possibilities of social support systems among the respondents working in different types of professions and represented by three samples: teachers {--}future educational counselors-, managers in supranational consulting companies, and therapists providing care for individuals with mental retardation and psychiatric disorders. The present work further looks at differential subjective perception of stress events among these professions. Questionnaires BMS (Ayala Malach-Pines, 2005, The Burn-out Measure Short Version) and JSS-CZ (Spielberger, Knotková, Man, 1999, Inventář pracovního stresu) were used for the data collection, as well as additional personal questions. In addition, the results{\crq} implications and their limitations for possible generalizations are discussed.

Second part of the document focuses on the definiton of legal framework of assignment in view of the Czech republic legislation, legislation of the European Union and partly in view of the legislation of non-EU member states. Wide legal framework finally leads to definiton of three basic possible employment structures. Two of them are described in diploma thesis in more detail. The final part of document analyses tax aspects of mentioned assignment structures. This part also refers to international social security and health insurance aspects as well as selected labour law implications. Payment models for information services
Dušek, Marek ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Šamánek, Robert (referee)
Due to the increasing economical significance of information services the thesis attempts to map possible payments models (revenue streams) and compile relevant selection criteria. First part is therefore dedicated to clarify the very basic terms, such as general and information service, followed by a description of web services as an implementation of their particular subset. This somewhat more technically and technologically oriented chapter covers standards as XML-RPC, SOAP, REST, WSDL and UDDI. Next part's goal is to explore the most important non-functional aspects of information services operation, including QoS and security, guaranteed by outlined SLA contracts. To meet these requirements, additional infrastructure components are needed, such as an identity management, monitoring, metering and accounting. Different pricing strategies, involving differentiation and bundling, are followed by an analysis of possible payment models themselves, divided to both revenue (transactional, subscription, register, licensing, one-time) and non-revenue (provider-supported, advertisement, freemium) based. Covered models are briefly described and their advantages and disadvantages proposed, as well as their infrastructure prerequisites and key metrics. The final chapter compiles relevant selection criteria and uses them to compare the chosen models, so that providers are given a guide when dealing with a service pricing.

Greplová, Pavlína ; Čech, Petr (advisor) ; Plíva, Stanislav (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the legal regulation regarding the transfer of the business share in a limited liability company in the Czech Republic. I have chosen this topic because of a lack of its legal regulation on the one hand and controversy and topicality on the other hand. The study analyses relevant law, commentaries, books, articles and case law. Moreover, it also compares the current legal regulation with the new legal regulation represented by the new Civil Code and the Act on Commercial Corporations. The main contribution of this paper is in providing a critical perspective on the current legal regulation and also the comparison with the new one. The thesis is composed of five chapters, each of which deals with different issues connected with both the transfer of the business share and the agreement on the transfer of the business share and a comparison with the new regulation. Chapter One is introductory and examines the concept of the business share as a subject-matter of legal relations. Chapter Two is subdivided into nine main parts. Part One focuses on the concept of the transfer of the business share. Part Two analyses its transfer to an existing shareholder or to a third party. Part Three focuses on the duty of loyalty of the shareholder. Part Four is closely...
