Poetry of Viktor Fischl
ŠTUMPFOVÁ, Barbora
The following master thesis is focused on the poetry work of Viktor Fischl. This thesis is also focused, among the others, on the topic of whether and how a point of view of a lyrical subject on a living in reality is changing in the poems. The thesis deals with the forming of Viktor Fischl's poetry itself in the context of present development and thinking. For showing of a complete author's work it was necessary to deal not only with collections of poems that had been published in book form, but also with available work in manuscript (or typescript) in the Viktor Fischl's Fund at the Museum of Czech Literature in Prague. The master thesis is methodologically based on the concept of Miroslav Červenka's fictional worlds. In his book Fikční světy lyriky (Fictional Worlds of Lyric Poetry) describes, among the others, the relationship of the current world and fictional world in lyric poetry. About the fiction and fictional worlds was thought only in connection with a narrative story. However, also in the lyric poetry it is necessary to think about the fictional worlds and Červenka proves that the relationship of reality and fictional world could be in lyric poem more often than in the narrative. In this master thesis the poetry work of Viktor Fischl is divided for clarity into several parts. Each part is devoted to a specific range of the author's poetry. Collections or cycles of poems were assigned to the chapters according to the period, in which were finished. The first interpretive chapter of the master thesis is focused on work itself, the earliest work of Viktor Fischl, a work from the period 1928 - 1929. The next chapter deals with his work in the thirties. The third significant section consists of the exile poetry from the author's stay in the United Kingdom during the Second World War. Next chapters are focused on the post-war author's work, work from the fiftieth and late poetic work of Viktor Fischl. The last chapter is devoted to poems and some fractions that are not included in the collections of poems.

How influence accessibility of public transport prices of flats?
Zezulka, Stanislav ; Lahvička, Jiří (advisor) ; Mirvald, Michal (referee)
This thesis deals with the relationship between accessibility and quality of public transport and the prices of flats in the cities of Prague and Zlín. It attempts to investigate what influence does the distance of a public transport stop have on the selling prices of flats. This investigation is done upon a sample of sale data of over 2000 flats in the year 2010. Two different cities have been compared and the thesis tries to find out whether the influence of public transport on flat prices differs in a big and a smaller city. The investigation has been carried out through the method of hedonic pricing. Furthermore, an investigation into the influence of the presence of individual types of means of transport has been carried out. In this thesis, it is possible to observe the different influence of public transport availability on flat prices in individual cities. In Prague, the availability of the underground increases the flat price by 6.4%. On the other hand, in Zlín, the variables that include transport services come out insignificant. Therefore, it seems that in a smaller city transport services do not interfere into the flat prices so significantly. In Prague, each meter of the distance from a public transport stop decreases the flat price by 0.02%.

MAPPING OF LANDSCAPE FEATURES IN A SPECIFIC TERRITORY AND THEIR HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
ŠTROUFOVÁ, Barbora
The cadastral district of Čejkovice was chosen for mapping of landscape features. The district is located approximately 9 km to the north-west of České Budějovice on a surface of 955 hectares. The following materials were used to map the territory in question ? the plan of the Territorial System of Ecological Stability and the orthophotograph map available at geoportal.gov and historical aerial photos from the Military Geographical and Hydrometeorological Institute of Dobruška. The incidence and representation of individual features were ascertained during mapping of the territory and the features were categorized. The categorization serves to process the results ? to evaluate the frequency and surface (length) of the features and at the same time to compare the present status with the status of the 1950?s. The GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software program was used to evaluate the results. At present, 38 landscape features can be found in the territory of Čejkovice (1 watercourse, 9 ponds, 4 woods, 8 woody plant groups, 9 alleys and 7 solitary plants. In 1950?s, 29 features could be found in the territory (1 watercourse, 10 ponds, 3 woods, 6 woody plant groups, 8 alleys and 1 solitary plant). The solitary plants have experienced the greatest difference ? increase by 6 plants. The surface of ponds has been increased as compared to the past status and the surface of woods has grown as well. The condition of the features does not differ too much as compared to the past condition. The most landscape features have experienced growth of surface.

Academic Scholarship in the Digital Age
Schmiede, Rudi
Digital information and the increasing amount and availability of its basis, data, is changing scholarship to a more or less dramatic extent. New areas of research and knowledge have been created by the availability of machine-produced data, calculations, and simulations in various academic disciplines. In academic teaching, too, digitized sources and forms of learning are about to convert studying and lecturing to a considerable amount. However, no adequate infrastructure for digital information has emerged yet. Whereas in the field of scientific information providers (libraries, document centers, publishers etc.) new services, arrangements and business models are being experimented with, the scholarly disciplines are, by and large, lagging behind these developments, as are most scientific work practices and teaching in general. To sum up: An information infrastructure of scholarly information has been developed, but not one for scholarly information, yet. What this means, and some ideas of what could be done about it, shall be discussed in the talk.

COR: Web Tool for Clinical Evidence Retrieval in Cardiology
Papíková, Vendula ; Zvolský, Miroslav
Research-based medical evidence is generated at an exponential rate, but it is not readily available to clinicians yet. Besides that clinical practitioners lack the time needed to search for it and lack the skills needed to identify it, appraise it and apply it in clinical decision-making. All that causes the need for new information resources reaching the „3Rs“ of evidence-based communication, i.e. reliability, relevance and readability. This work describes newly developed web application aimed to implement the mentioned features to evidence-based information resource in the field of cardiology. Selected entries from database PubMed are utilized as the source of trustworthy evidence.

The role of a non-state and non-profitalbe organization which is specialized in the care of the people with Down's syndrom
NOVÁKOVÁ, Petra
The presented thesis is entitled The Role of Non-Governmental Organization in the Care of Down Syndrome People. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes Down syndrome and defines all the forms of this disability and its impact on personality. It lists available forms of care and appropriate treatment, that help people with Down syndrome to improve the quality of their lives. The attention is specifically focused on non-governmental organizations. The author chose and elaborated this thesis because she believes in the sense and efficiency of NGOs operation. The empirical part brings the analysis of the collected data within the joint research using the methods of an interview and a questionnaire. By means of these methods the thesis introduces two organizations that focus on helping Down syndrome people in the Czech Republic and provides results that respond to the given research questions about the role of NGOs in the care of Down syndrome individuals. Furthermore, this part compares the extent to which they fulfill their mission and scope of services offered. The closing part brings the results of the survey, where the respondents were the parents using the services of NGOs, and these results are confronted with the interviews held with the management representatives of these organizations thus creating space for more objective evaluation. Secondarily, there are some suggestions about the possible direction of both organizations in the future.

The Corpus of Radio Records
Štěpánová, Veronika
The paper presents the upcoming corpus of records of professional radio speakers, whose creation has been supported by the grant of GA UK. This corpus of records with their transcriptions will serve as a source for the research of the pronunciation usage in Czech media. The material has been gained from the audio archives of the Czech radio, from which records of many radio programmes in a good quality can be downloaded. The choice of speakers is focused on those speakers from whom a higher number of longer monological records are available, so that it would become probable that the observed phenomena will be found in a sufficient number of occurrences.
