Comparison of the EU and USA strategy of fight against terrorism

USA a EU po teroristických útocích v roce 2001 začaly přijímat nové strategie boje proti terorismu. V USA vznikly dokumenty jako USA PATRIOT Act, Národní bezpečnostní strategie a Národní strategie zpravodajských služeb. V EU se staly klíčovými dokumenty Akční plán boje proti terorismu, Evropská bezpečnostní strategie a Deklarace boje s terorismem. Česká republika jako členský stát EU je vázána těmito dokumenty, ale nedaří se plnit všechny závazky. EU chybí dostatečně silné nástroje k tomu, aby svá rozhodnutí prosadila ve všech členských státech.

E-government and public administration reform in the Czech Republic

One of the main objectives of the current territorial public administration reform in the Czech Republic was approach of exercise of the public administration to the citizens. The paper deals with the issue whether the above-mentioned objective could not have been implemented more effectively - for example using e-government methods than creating new administrative centres. The first part of paper compares the state of e-governments’ implementation in the Czech Republic and in the other member states of the European Union. The second one attempts to analyse the possible reasons, why the implementation in the Czech Republic is slower in comparison with the majority of the other members of the EU.

Vliv plemene na množství a složení mléka dojnic chovaných v identických podmínkách na vybrané farmě

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of breed on the amount and composition of milk of dairy cows kept in identical conditions on the selected farm. There were monitored cows of the Fleckvieh breed, the Holstein breed and the Ayrshire breed. The ration was given to all three breeds of dairy cows in the same quantity and quality. The results of milk yield were determined from the results of performance tests. There was observed the total milk yield in kilograms per 305 days, the average fat content and average protein content. The collected data were compared within breeds between them. Furthermore, the results were compared with the results of performance tests across the country. Most are yielding dairy cows of the Holstein breed, then they were spotted Fleckvieh least taken from their goats and cows ayrshirské. The highest content of components were Fleckvieh cows, Holstein cows followed by a minimum of fat and protein should Ayrshire cows. Compared with the control performance over the Czech Republic the best performing Fleckvieh cows, then Ayrshire and less than the national average taken from their goats Holstein cows.

Název práce: Rozbor a srovnání herní výkonnosti reprezentačních družstev kadetů ČR a Brazílie na MS 2003 z hlediska obranných herních činností jednotlivce. Graduation thesis title: Analysis and comparison ofthe game performance ofthe Czech and Brazilian national teams of trainee officers at the 2003 World Championship focused on individua! defence techniques. Cíle práce: Provést rozbor a srovnání herní výkonnosti reprezentačního družstva kadetů ČR s družstvem Brazílie na MS kadetů 2003 v Thajsku z hlediska vybraných obranných herních činností jednotlivce- blokování, vybírání. Naší snahou bylo porovnat úspěšnost blokování a vybírání mezi reprezentačními družstvy kadetů ČR a Brazílie. Metoda: K provedení rozboru vybraných ukazatelů byla použita metoda zprostředkovaného pozorování, tzn. pozorování pomocí videozáznamu. Analyzované údaje jsou zpracovány do tabulek a grafů a jednotlivé hodnoty následně dle potřeby převedeny na procenta. Výsledky: Ukazují na rozdíly mezi vybranými družstvy a poskytují doporučení pro budoucí práci s mládežnickými reprezentačními týmy. Comparison of the flight activity of spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus) in two regions

This study of the flight activity of individuals of a subfamily of Scolytinae, namely the species Ips typographus, is focused on a time period and the numbers of individuals during swarming. Two areas were monitored, the Boletice military district and Libavá military training grounds between 10 April and 11 September 2015. Ten Theyson plate-type traps withPheroprax pheromone evaporators were deployed in the studied areas. The traps were regularly chechked in 5 - 7-day intervals. The light activity of the bark beetl and numbers of its generation were monitored. A total of 92,368 individuals of I. typographus were caught, of which 15,820 occurred on Horní Planá, and 76,548 in the Libavá habitat. These figures show that the habitat in Libavá, which is at a lower elevation, has a much higher population density of spruce bark beetle in the forests than on Horní Planá. The analysis og the captured specimens showed 2 peaks of flight activity on Horní Planá, which can be considered major swarming, and 3 peaks for Libavá, of which 2 major peaks are considered major swarming and 1 affiliated.

Overview and Comparison of Religious Programs on Public TV in Czech Republic and Spain in 2010

This diploma thesis "Overview and Comparison of Religious Programs on Public TV in Czech Republic and Spain in 2010" maps and compares periodical religious programs of Česká televize and Televisión Española in 2010. It concentrates on specifics of religious TV production in both countries. The theoretical part outlines the church-media context which serves as a background for the actual research. This part consists of: demographic contrasts between both countries (comparing numbers of adherents), basic data on the history of religious broadcasting, and presents the Church documents that concern mass media. It offers an outline of media legislation which stipulates the framework to which programming must adhere. The practical section provides an overview of programs, broadcast in both countries, along with their brief characteristics and comparisons. It then proceeds to analyze their content, focusing mainly on three topics: ecumenism, proselytism and bioethics. These topics allow ascertainment of significant differences in religious TV production in both countries. The closing part critically evaluates the results obtained in the course of research, taking in consideration changes since 2010.

A comparison of unemployment in various social groups

This thesis has both a theoretical and a research section. The theoretical section investigates how literature defines the basic concepts relating to unemployment?. An analysis of unemployment in various social groups is also included. The research section comprises of personal experiences both from being a candidate applying for a job position, as well as working as an employment officer. The quantitative research focuses on candidates of all social groups applying for a job. Qualitative research of the labour office's employees is undertaken with figures and entries from the department of the labour office (KoP ÚP ČR) completing this empirical study. The acquired data is then evaluated and an conclusion formed as to how the current situation can be improved.

Comparison of Czech and Russian Economy Due to the Financial Crisis of 2007–08

The name of the thesis The Comparative Study of the Economics of the Czech Republic and Russia after the Financial Crisis breakdown is very interesting because it is a comparison of two very different states: the Russian Federation is a large federal state, open economy, and the state is sovereign. Czech Republic is a member state of the European Union, and therefore the sovereignty of the Czech Republic in this way is limited. The main objective of this study is to compare how both countries felt the impact of the financial and economic crisis. The methods used are mainly statistical methods, especially compared to macroeconomic indicators in the Czech Republic and Russia.

Srovnání právních požadavků na výrobu ovocných destilátů ve vybraných státech EU

The Bachelor's thesis "Comparison of legal requirements in fruit distillate production in selected states of EU"was written in Lednice on Department of Post-Harvest Technology of Horticultural Products in Faculty of horticulture at Mendel University in Brno in 2014. The first part describes all steps needed for fruit spirit production, such as fruit selection, process of fermentation, releasing substances during the alcoholic fermentation, kvass preparation, microorganisms in distillate production, distillation and quality flaws in fruit distillates. Second part is focused on legislative requirements in fruit distillate production, where there is rightful regulation of European Union for all member states and also summary of spirit production and fruit distillates in Czech Republic. Furthermore there are compared legislature requirements on fruit spirit production between two neighbouring states which is Austria and Slovakia. There are compared differences in distillation laws and consumption taxes. The last part deals with consumption taxes for distillery in all European states.
