Importance of Psychotherapy to the Treatment of Dependence on Alcohol
Říhová, Julie ; Sivek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
This school work is focused on the importance of psychotherapy to the treatment of dependence on alcohol. It deals about the dependence on alcohol, its causes, about the process of this disease and its consequences. Next part of the work describes the treatment of this phenomenon and single forms of the therapeutic processes, namely from the view of the single therapeutical approaches (medical, psychological and social). Multidisciplinary approach is fundamental for the alcoholism treatment. Last part of this work (of the theoretical part) deals about the psychotherapy, about various psychotherapeutic systems and at the end it deals about the psychotherapeutic research. Practical part if this work contains three casuistries or case reports and one interview. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Calculation of residual fatigue life of railway set
Náhlík, Luboš ; Hutař, Pavel ; Knésl, Zdeněk ; Matušek, P.
The calculation of residual fatigue life of railway set is described in the contribution. The initial defect is modeled as a semicircular crack, which propagates preferentially in normal mode of loading perpendicularly on the axis of the axle. The conservative approach based on linear elastic fracture mechanics was chosen for residual fatigue life prediction. The aim of calculation is to determine number of loading cycles, which permits safe run of the railway axle, i.e. the dependence of crack depth on number of loading cycles for given loading spectrum.

Thickness dependence of transport properties of Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. layers
Zeipl, Radek ; Lošťák, P. ; Pavelka, Martin ; Žďánský, Karel ; Jelínek, Miroslav ; Walachová, Jarmila
The transport properties of layers, prepared by laser ablation, as Hall mobility and conductivity on their thickness at room temperature are presented. This thermoelectric materials is potential candidate for many applications as for thermoelectric devices for power generation, cooling and sensors.

Ellipsometry of Thin Films
Novotný, Zbyněk ; Navrátil, Karel (referee) ; Nebojsa, Alois (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with ageing process of thin films of Co and Cu on Si substrate, prepared by the IBAD method. The process of film ageing, which depends on time of exposition to the atmosphere at room conditions, was investigated with spectroscopic ellipsometry (VIS+UV) and atomic force microscopy. In case of thin Co films, approximately four days long incubation period was observed. During this time period, a change in the optical parameters of the film occurs without a measurable change of the film topography. Using non-contact atomic force microscopy, a growth of the transitional film in the island growth regime was observed. During the ageing of thin Cu films, two stages of growth of the transitional layer were observed - nucleation stage and growth stage. Both of these time periods of the transitional layer growth show direct logarithmic dependence. Using non-contact atomic force microscopy, the growth of the transitional film was observed. Using atomic force microscopy in non-contact regime, time dependent measurement was done and the process of forming of one monolayer of the transitional layer was documented. Within the diploma thesis, a series of experiments on ultra high vacuum system were performed in order to investigate phase transformation of thin Fe films (22 monolayers) on Cu(100) stabilized by CO absorption. The transformation from fcc phase to bcc phase was induced by Ar+ ion beam bombardment with the ion energy in the range (0.5-4) keV. The process of phase transformation was observed by surface magneto-optic Kerr effect, Auger electron spectroscopy and low energy electron diffraction.

Cavitation assessment from flow rate drop and high-frequency pressure pulsations.
Šebek, Miloš ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
Main issue of this master´s thesis deals with high-frequency pulsations caused by cavitating hydraulic components (in this case nozzle and throttle valve). In first measurement on the nozzle was not a high-frequency sensor set in the way, so the evaluation was incorrect. After re-setting of the way was the nozzle measured again and the pulsations were evaluated correct this time. During the last measurement was the sensor located behind the throttle valve, which was with gradual opening and cavitation treatment measured. Resulting dependencies worked out on time dependence. A special mathematical method, Fourier transformation, was used. It transformed pressure amplitudes into frequency dependence. Evaluation of dependecies is the basic step for frequency band assesment, in which the cavitation on particular components happens.

Motivating Alcohol Addicts to Change
Oswald, Eduard ; Dočkal, Jan (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this work is to show that the theme of motivation is a central topic in case of an alcohol addict. Dependence has many dimensions as well as a man has. It hits and changes the whole personality and represents a complicated structure of factors which transcends any medical concept. The goal of this work is to confirm both theoretically and practically dependence concerns human spirituality. Furthermore, it aims to show how complicated the phenomenon of motivation is and to point out connections between the factors influencing changes of an addict and his will and effort to change as well. That is why I focus on personality as a whole at first.. Secondly, I put forth a survey of possible approaches to motivation which I regard acomplicated and complete structure, not only within a frame of psychology but regarding philosophy, sociology and spirituality as well. Like I did on the topic of dependence, I focused on links between motivation and spirituality, too, aiming to account on pastoration possibilities in this field. The goal was to show that as for working on addicts pastoration has both theoretical and practical reasons. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Discussion on US sanctions against Cuba at the U.N. General Assembly
Šplíchalová, Eva ; Trávníčková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Machoň, Miloslav (referee)
The United States imposed the longest lasting sanction regime on Cuba in 1960 as a result of strained relations in recent years. Each US administration modified form of the sanctions regime, depending on the attitude toward the Cuban issue. General Assembly, the highest authority of the UN, adopts not legally binding but politically significant resolutions. Resolution condemning US sanctions regime has been adopted annually since 1992. Discussion on changes of the sanction regime in the General Assembly is a sign of reflection on current events and unrigid process of resolutions adoption. The main purpose is to determine whether the changes of the sanction regime were mentioned in the discussions on the adoption of the resolutions. The result of the analysis shows the reflection of the events in the speeches of ambassadors. The amount of mentioned events in speeches depends whether they were positive or negative step toward easing the embargo, and also how important the event was.
