Testování homogenity a dobré shody v analýze přežití
Timková, Jana
The present paper deals with the goodness of fit and the twosample problem related to the event-history type data. The proposed methods are derived from bayesian nonparametric approach and take advantage of MCMC estimation of the hazard rate. The technique is based on Bayes construction of martingale residuals.

Experiment CAPEX-U: Současnost a Budoucnost
Frolov, Oleksandr ; Koláček, Karel ; Štraus, Jaroslav ; Schmidt, Jiří ; Boháček, Vladislav ; Prukner, Václav
A new pulse capillary discharge driver with a laser-triggered main spark gap has been developed. The assembled CAPEX-U device consists of a Marx generator, of a pulse forming line, a gas-filled laser-triggered spark gap and a ceramic capillary. Its design was supported by mapping of electrostatic fields in the most exposed regions and by analysis of an equivalent circuit. Operation of the laser-triggered spark gap was tested on a single-channel model. In the paper, the results of the modelling and of the first electrical tests of the whole device (capillary current and voltage at the end of pulse forming line) are presented.

The analysis of price elasticity of demand for beer
Hromadníková, Kateřina ; Mirvald, Michal (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The thesis analyses price elasticity of beer demand. Hypothesis about inelastic demand is tested first for nationwide level and then on data of specific brewery. Elasticity was determined by regression analysis, specifically by ordinary least squares with all variables expressed in logarithmic form. Consumption of beer is the endogenous variable and price of bottled beer (price of one hectoliter of beer in case of brewery), average gross income and price level are in the role of the exogenous variables. The hypothesis about inelastic demand was successfully proved. Price elasticity estimates range from -0,66 to -0,2. In case of specific brewery price was not significant. On the other hand, average gross income seems to be the significant determinant. According to income elasticity beer seems to be luxury good in case of specific brewery and necessity in case of nationwide level.

Eye diseases and color discrimination
Huňa, Lukáš ; Hornová, Jara (advisor)
More than 100 years we know the typical changes of the optic nerve and visual field defects in patients with glaucoma. Despite our knowledge at that time well advanced, accurate pathogenesis of this disease still remains a mystery. In the present he is at the forefront of efforts to identify such tests visual functions, which revealed damage to nerve fibers before loss of vision. Such tests offer the possibility color perception, which were used in the empirical part of the thesis, where she studied the dependence on changes in color perceptiondisorders visual field arising in connection with primary glaucoma

Production and verification of teaching project of elementary arts of karate
Faktorová, Dominika ; Venzara, Jan (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Jan (referee)
Title: Production and verification of teaching project of elementary arts of karate. Objective: Production and verification of efficient and methodical training programme of karate for children and youth, which increases technical ability and fitness. Methods: Experiment was made by the simple direct method and it took part in the observing five test's groups (one group was made nearly from 25 observed subjects). And than was used the testing and measuring method Eurofit test and test order ČSKe with criterions. The test results were rated by Microsoft ACCESS®, Microsoft EXCEL®, Statistica 6.0 ® a Graph Pad PRISM®. Results: The results validated utility of training programme, but this programme is not more efficient than common training methods. Key words: Karate, elementary arts of karate, teaching and training project.

Are elections lists fair or nudging?
Regéczy, Martin ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor) ; Hudík, Marek (referee)
It is generally believed that those candidates listed earlier on the ballot paper are likely to receive more votes than those listed later. This assumption was proved to be true on a sample of 100 election results collected from university elections across the whole Czech Republic in the years 2001-2009. These elections have one important feature -- all candidates are listed in alphabetical order. Those candidates with surname initials closer to the beginning of the alphabet tend to receive more votes and, as a past research says, the non-rational voters are to be blamed. No one, however, has yet analyzed the behavior of candidates. Hypothesis that candidates with better fitted surnames are more likely to enter elections, and by that create a ballot paper already with alphabetical bias, has not been proved. Other cue to voters such as the title of a candidate present on the ballot paper proved to be an important signal of quality for female candidates who were hugely advantaged compared to men who were disadvantaged due to this fact. Possible different reasons to alphabetical bias have been tested (e.g. name letter effect), but have not been found to be present.

School maturity and diagnostic
VILDOVÁ, Lenka
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school readiness and its characteristics. In the theoretical part of the paper the problems of the appropriateness of school attendance postponement and the child?s school attendance preparation are worked up. Likewise the issue of children´s development of pre-school stage is treated and, not least, the diagnostic methods of considering the child school readiness methods and various tests used in practice including their evaluation are mentioned. In the practical part, the research is carried out based upon the observation, indigenous screening elaboration and the final evaluation.

Conditional preparation of members of the Police of the Czech Republic
Agh, Karel ; Přívětivý, Lubomír (advisor) ; Konrád, Antonín (referee)
Résumé Name of the Project: Conditional preparation of members of the Police of the Czech Republic The aim of the Project: The aim of this Project is to resume and to evaluate contemporary situation of conditional preparation and its testing applied to the members of the Police of the Czech Republic in the selected districts of the Central Bohemian Region. Methods: I have received information necessary for completion of my diploma work from research of available literature, law and other sources that deal with the given problem. I have analysed documents and evaluated obtained data (results of revisions) to confirm or rebut the specified hypothesis. Furthermore, I have questioned anonymously policemen in the selected districts of the Central Bohemian Region. Afterwards, I have evaluated the questionnaires and have resumed obtained data for final interpretation and final comparison and evaluation. Results: Discovered knowledge presents overall state and testing of conditional preparation and introduces opinions and attitudes of policemen towards conditional preparation. Key words: conditional preparation, physical fitness, movement abilities, motoric tests, lawful rules.

Analysis of results in the Statistics course, 4ST201
Krajča, Marek ; Malá, Ivana (advisor) ; Čabla, Adam (referee)
The main objective of my bachelor thesis is to describe the discrepancy of students' results in the Statistics course, 4ST201. I hope to highlight the differences of student results between the winter semester of 2010/2011, summer semester of 2010/2011, and the winter semester of 2011/2012, during which a new structure of final examination was introduced. I will begin with a detailed discussion and analysis of results between the three aforementioned testing periods, and I hope to conclude by offering a hypothesis of discrepancies between the old and new testing structures.

Design of autonomous mobile robot.
Vodrážka, Jakub ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of the device for testing the localization techniques for indoor navigation. Autonomous robot was designed as the most appropriate platform for testing. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first one describes various kinds of robots, their possible use and sensors, which could be of use for solving the problem. The second part deals with the design and construction of the robot. The robot is built on the chassis of the differential type with support spur. Two electric motors with a gearbox and output shaft speed sensor represent the drive unit. Coat of the robot was designed for good functionality and attractive overall look. The robot is also used for the presentation of robotics. Thesis provides complete design of chassis and body construction, along with control section and sensorics. The last part describes a statistical model of the robot movement, which was based on several performed experiments. The experiments were realized to find any possible deviations of sensor measurement comparing to the real situation.
