Volumetric model of human vocal folds

The article describes the vollumetric 3D FE model of real human vocal folds in a defined phonation position. The model was developed from the CT images of the plaster casts obtained by a special procedure during experiments with the excised human larynges, when the phonatioon caused by the airflow was suddenly stopped without changing the position of the fixed larynx. The model is determined for studies of dynamical stresses in the vocal fold tissue during vocal folds collisions.

Biodiversity of standing floodplain waters and processes of its formation and preservation

Water chemistry and planktic communities in the naturally eutrophic alluvial waters in the Lužnice floodplain have been studied. The floofplain waters are naturally eutrophic, with strong vertical physico-chemical gradients and oxygen depletions at the botom. Small pools and backwaters of this type have unique phytoplankton structure. Prevailing dominance of flegellates, namely Cryptophyceae, and low proportion of green chlorococcal algae and Diatoms, and almost absence of Cyanophyceae are very unusual for such eutrophic waters. Flagellate dominate thanks their ability to keep the vertical position in a permanently light limited conditions (resulted from poorly mixed water columns and intensive shading of water surface by vegetation). Floodplain geodiversity play crucial role, determining morphology and location of pools and backwaters, their exposition to flooding and inflows of underground water. Terrestial vegetation effects light exposition, leaf litter.

Financing by leasing in comparison with credit financing in conditions of the Czech Republic

The thesis introduces leasing and credit issues on the market of the Czech Republic. The long-term financing by borrowed capital represents a strategic decision that influences the financial state in future years and therefore it is essential to understand and identify all its specifics and details properly. The thesis aims to analyze possibilities of investment financing in particular, to concentrate on definitions, types, advantages and disadvantages, principles of accounting and the current situation on the market regarding leasing and credits. The thesis gives a view of these two types of financing as well as a view of their mutual comparison because each possibility has its positive and negative aspects. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first ones are dedicated to the theoretical background which describes both credit and leasing. The second part of the thesis includes practical model examples demonstrating the comparison of both ways of financing.

The .EU top-level domain name and third parties rights protection

88 THE .EU TOP-LEVEl DOMAIN NAME AND THIRD PARTIES RIGHTS PROTECTION English summary My graduation thesis deals with the top-level domain .eu, its origins, methods by which it is embodied into legal enactments and mainly about rights relating to the .eu TLD and the extent of protection the holders of such rights could expect. The prologue is focused on the general analysis of the problematic regarding domain name itself, both the technical and legal aspects. Thus in this part you could find information about the function of the domain name, its relation to the IP address and about the categorization made on the basis of the top-level and second-level distinction. There is also description made in this part of the three main TLD groups: a) generic TLDs - .biz, .com, .edu, .gov, .info, .int, .mil, .name, .net, .org, .pro, .aero, .asia, .cat, .coop, .jobs, .mobi, .museum, .tel, .travel, .arpa, b) country code TLDs and c) .eu domain, which probably creates the third group. After common technical description of the domain name there is analogous treatise on the legal aspects of the domain names themselves as well as the description of the position of the entities involved in the legal relations relating to domains. Physical Load Analysis In Woman's Beach Volleyball

Title: Physical Load Analysis In Woman's Beach Volleyball Objectives: The objective is to examine time characteristics, cardiac strain, movement pattern and the individua! volleyball skills in woman playing beach volleyball. The results will help aid athletes and coaches to improve individua} and team performance in the sport. Methods: Analyses of the thirteen game records were used to compile data for statistical time measurements, movement pattems and individua! volleyball skill. Through the use of sport testers, four individua} athletes in four separate toumaments had their heart rates recorded. These heart rates were further analyzed to collect the appropriate data for cardiac strain characteristics. Results: The average game time was 37 minutes with 5 - 9 seconds exercise loads and 15 seconds recovery time. Beach volleyball is high to middle level intensity game with mixed aerobic- anaerobic energy supply system in use. The average heart rate falls in the interval of 150 and 180. The jumping load is about 41 and more jumps counting serve jump, block and spike. The prevalent movement distance is within 4 meter range. Web Application Development with Spring Framework

The thesis is concerned with a comparison between a Java framework called Spring and Grails, Zend, Nette, NodeJS, Play, Symfony, OpenXava frameworks described in the theses of Odehnal [1], Kočárek [2], Kadlec [3], Dočkal [4], Šimon [5]. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part introduces the Spring ecosystem and its individual modules to the reader. This part also outlines trends and estimates Spring position and popularity among other Java frameworks. The practical part focuses on web application development based on the criteria defined in the Odehnal's thesis [1]. The sample application shows the style of development in the Spring framework and its functionality and capabilities. Based on the gained experience during the sample application development, Spring is next compared to the other frameworks mentioned earlier and included into the previous comparison. The comparison criteria are specified in the Odehnal's thesis [1] and consist of 4 areas. First of all, there is a basic framework differences comparison. Next, there is an architecture comparison. The third area involves a comparison of work with the framework which also contains both objective criteria and personal estimation. The last part is dedicated to a comparison related to framework support, available literature and overall popularity. The result of this thesis is a comparison of 8 frameworks including the created sample application, which should help the readers when selecting one of the them and should make it easier to orientate in the world of web frameworks.

Private limited liability company according to Business Corporations Act compared to private limited liability company in Danish law

Private limited liability company is a type of limited liability company used especially by small and medium-size enterprises. This form of company is very popular in and outside of Czech republic. In the last few years many countries have adopted new laws regulating private limited liability companies. In Czech republic it was Business Corporations Act in 2012 although many provisions were included in other acts. In Denmark this form of company is regulated in Danish Companies Act adopted in 2009. This thesis describes legal regulations on private limited liability companies in both Czech republic and Denmark. Description of Danish regulations is rather thorough since there is limited amount of other sources on this matter in Czech language. The aim of the thesis is to compare these regulations and their positive and negative aspects.

Spectral properties of the source signal as speaker-specific cues

Despite a continuous development in computer sciences and related disciplines, speaker identification remains one of the most challenging tasks in forensic phonetics. The reason for this is the fact that our knowledge of how identity is reflected in the acoustic signal is still limited. The present study aims to contribute to the search of speaker-specific cues by examining spectral properties of the source signal. Specifically, it examines to what extent three short-term measures of spectral tilt, namely H1-H2, H1-A1 and H1-A3, can discriminate 16 Czech female speakers. It also addresses the influence of vowel quality, syllable status with respect to stress and position of stress group in the utterance on the values of these measures. The results show that these parameters do have some discriminative power, though the contribution of individual parameters differs. The study indicates that discrimination of speakers is the most successful in stressed syllables and argues that individual vowels could differ in their usefulness for speaker identification. The results of LDA based on these short- term measures of spectral tilt were complemented with long-term measures, namely alpha index, Kitzing index and Hammarberg index which quantify the slope of the LTAS. Risk group of persons with disabilities on the labour market in Prague from 2005 to 2015

The theoretical part of the Bachelor Thesis comprehensively illustrates the status and representation of persons with disabilities (PWD) on the current labour market in the Czech Republic. In a general manner, the Thesis looks at the employment policy as well; especially its legislative basis in the legal framework of the Czech Republic and selected EU countries. Furthermore, the legal obligations of employers of PWD and the possibilities of fulfilling the mandatory share of PWD employment are stated. Findings of two qualitative employment studies are presented showing that PWD enter the labour market equipped with specialized competencies, which they are willing to complete by retraining programmes in case of need. The employers perceive the employment of PWD mainly as a financial profit, granted to them by the state; and the legislative conditions are a sufficient incentive for them. The questionnaire survey pointed out that the weakness in the employment of PWD is the lack of part-time jobs, which are highly demanded among them. Therefore the Thesis presents a solution, which could be the creation of shared work positions.
