Proposal of event development - case study of Christmas market

The theme of this thesis is the propasal development of the Christmas market at the Old Town Square.The introductory part presents the theoretical resources used for actual work. The theoretical part is focused on defining the basic terms of the surveyed areas, such as tourism, forms of tourism, event tourism, sales forms, organizing Christmas markets. The practical part focuses on a thorough analysis of the Christmas market at the Old Town Square. The analytical part was used a questionnaire survey of visitors to the Christmas market at the Old Town Square. On the basis of the questionnaire were designed development possibilities Christmas markets in the future.

Evaluation Principles: Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation

The objective of Ipn project “Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation“) is to replace from 2015 the existing Methodology of evaluating the results achieved by research institutions with a more effective system of institutional evaluation based on the international quality standards. The new evaluation in the form of informed peer-review will reflect the Ipn Audit recommendations as well as Long Term Evaluation Principles adopted by RVVI (Research, Development and Innovations Council). The new system will combine quantitative and qualitative evaluation of outputs and contributions of the creative activity of research institutions with clear and future oriented indicators in order to facilitate evaluation of their development dynamics, evaluate their outputs from the point of view of their quality, relevance, impact and effectiveness while respecting the departmental and institutional differences. It should enable periodic evaluation of the performance of Czech Research, Development and Innovation system as a whole and of its individual components in comparison with the global standards. The evaluation results should facilitate strategic management on the level of public administration as well as on the level of individual institutions and their departments. The evaluation process should be resistant to nepotism and should be supported by high quality international expert evaluators and bibliometrical criteria.

The principal aim of this thesis was the evaluation analysis of the system of employee education and development in the selected company, identification of educational needs, proposals for changes and recommendations for improving the management of this area.

Comparison of service offerings and their impact on local development in selected areas - Novohradsko and Veselsko

The work deals with the explanation of services and their impact on local development. It focuses on the analysis of the services offered in two areas surveyed on the Novohradsko and Veselsko. This is the assessment of supply and quality of services to the needs of the population and visitors. Based on the results relating to the service offerings are designed measures in each area would be improved and expanded range of services. To develop these services are designed to further the possibility of drawing money from funds of the European Union.

Development opportunities of company based on the analysis of competitors

The literature review was described problems related to situation analysis, competition, competitive analysis, SWOT analysis and Porter's five competitive forces model. In the practical part, a list of competitors, software analysis with scoring, identification of key strengths and weaknesses and the subsequent overall evaluation.

Tourism for elementary and secondary school in Českobudějovicko

The impact of tourism on business activities and development of the city Český Krumlov

The objective of the diploma thesis was to evaluate the impact of tourism on business activities and development of the city Český Krumlov. Under the analysis of various statistical data the trend of the number of incoming visitors, the economical contribution of tourism on the city, private businesses and citizens were specified. To evaluate the impact of tourism on private businesses and citizens various subjects were questioned via questionnaire online and also during the field research. Under the determined results main problems of the city related to the development of tourism were specified and there were suggestions proposed for the future improvement.

Tourism as a factor of the socio-economic development of Nymburk
OMÁČKOVÁ, Helena
The goal of this thesis, which focuses on tourism as an element of the social-economic potential of Nymburk, is to provide an explanation of the problems related to tourism in this area. In order for the region to develop, cultural-historical sights are necessary. There are plenty of these in Nymburk. The potential that the city offers has not yet been fully realized and because of this it is possible to plan many projects with EU assistance for the development of the area. The thesis focuses on the description of tourism in the Central Bohemian region and directly in the town Nymburk and offers possibilities for future development. In order to understand the changes needed a survey was created and sent to 150 respondents. The summary of the results shows the attitude of the Nymburk citizens regarding the state of services, local policy, and offers suggestions for change. A SWOT analysis was made on the basis of the strategic city plan for finding the strategic advantages. It is supplemented by a Fuller triangular matrix which clearly highlights the most important aspects.
