Antropogenní tlaky na stav půd‚ vodní zdroje a vodní ekosystémy v české části mezinárodního povodí Labe: Vliv eutrofizace, průtokového režimu a změn geomorfologie koryta na prostorovou distribuci společenstev ryb v povodí řeky Labe
Výzkumný ústav vodohospodářský T.G. Masaryka, v.v.i., Praha ; Kulíšková, Petra ; Demeke, Shiferaw ; Horký, Pavel ; Slavík, Ondřej
Předpokládá se, že výzkum ryb v řece Labi a jeho povodí přinese nové možnosti vyhodnocení vlivu eutrofizace na přirozenou reprodukcí společenstev a jejich prostorovou distribuci. Vliv eutrofizace bude identifikován se změnou prostředí (kanalizace koryta, opevnění břehů, výstavby příčných překážek) a globální změnou klimatu (předpokládané zvýraznění průtokových extrémů – sucho a záplavy). V roce 2007 byly provedeny odběry vzorků juvenilních ryb, byla zahájena terénní fáze studie energetické bilance ryb, studie chování vztahu predátor x kořist (bolen, ouklej) v kanalizovaném toku (úsek Ústí nad Labem – Děčín). Byl realizován experimentální žlabu a jeho vybavení systémem značek a snímačů chování ryb, tzv. pasivních integrátorů (PITags).

Inventarizace a management jedle (Abies alba Mil.) na LS Jablunkov
Jaroš, Rostislav
The thesis provides an assessment of the status of European silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in terms of its growth potential in view of the varying environmental features of particular habitat sites. To that end, sites were selected in Písek territory within the forest district of Jablunkov. The variance range in habitat site parameters and their impact on tree growth were monitored and analysed, including the relation to their age. The assessment criteria consisted primarily in field measurements of certain dendrometric parameters of selected tree, supplemented with additional data such as tree defoliation and fructification. The data collected are compared in the thesis with analogical parameter measurements made in tree clusters for Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) H. Karst) occurring alongside the silver fir. The thesis also notes the ability and intensity of natural regeneration of silver fir and its possible impairment.

Agriculture in mountain areas: selected theoretical-methodological aspects of geographical research
Martinát, Stanislav
Mountain areas cover in dependence on chosen methodology up to one third of area of the Czech Republic. When we take into consideration farm land, it´s approximately 8 %, so it is relatively spacious part of country. Agricultural activities in these areas have to strictly respect natural conditions, however still keep its social, cultural and economic functions. These features make from research of moutain agriculture very interesting challenge. The objective of this paper is to follow phenomenon of mountain farming and connected spatial processes; its importance for cultural landscape and society will be also theoretically analysed. Special attention is paid to concept of marginality in agricultural context.

Analysis of the current state of special cynology in the Czech Republic - with a focus on the search of explosives.
HOMOLKA, Martin
Civil protection is getting one of the most important activities governments of all civilized states in the world deal with. Substantial funds are spent on setting up of armed forces, security organizations, groups of specialists and employees and on reinforcing of army forces that can participate in civil protection during state of emergency or in critical civil situations. For realization of these attacks a lot of money is needed. To get the money other crimes are committed, namely production and trade with narcotics and psychotropic substances or illegal weapon trade. The bodies participating in civil protection of each single state have to be able and ready to search for implements that directly or indirectly endanger not only the safety of inhabitants, but also the safety of important buildings and the premises of critical infrastructure. It concerns searching for explosives, firearms, narcotics and psychotropic substances, burning accelerants or e.g. banknotes. For these activities most police forces and bodies of civil protection use dogs because of their character and abilities. This companion closest to a man is able to find and mark all named commodities after having finished its proper training. The aim of this thesis is to specify the importance of special kynology for civil protection, focused on locating of explosives using specially trained dogs. Qualitative survey is the base of this dissertation. Respondents are experts with long-time experience in special kynology and explosives. Methods used within the research are following: secondary data analysis, half structured interview and photo documentation. SWOT analysis has been made that describes the condition of special kynology in the Czech Republic. The Police of the Czech Republic, as one of three basic bodies of Integrated Rescue System, have to fulfil many tasks defined by law. One of the most important tasks is life and health protection of all persons that are in the certain moment in our state territory. For attacks against these values explosives are used nowadays. If they are misused and installed in explosive systems, the members of the Police of the Czech Republic are the ones who enter the area of explosive placement or the possible placement of such object. Besides, they carry out safety and preventive explosives search. Some of these members are canine officers. Their task is to train the dogs in a special way so that these are able to locate explosives. They take part in every search for explosives which is led by the police. Thanks to their placement they are able to begin with investigation within a few minutes or tens of minutes almost anywhere in the area of the Czech Republic. Nowadays there is no other body of armed force that would be able to provide this kind of service. That is why it is necessary to solve such problems that endanger this activity, such as lack of finance or little cooperation among individual units. Despite these problems we have to highlight the professionalism of canine officers, their experience and work enthusiasm as well as a very high level of training centres. If trained and used in the right way, the dogs are irreplaceable in the search for explosives not only nowadays but also in the future. Without their help the search cannot be effective. The dissertation presents a complete overview and description of the use of special kynology concerning search for explosives in relation to civil protection. In practice it will improve the public awareness and it will be used as complete information material for experts.

Electric Drive Diagnostics and Utilization in Agricultural Machinery
Čedík, Jakub ; Pexa, Martin (advisor) ; Kumhála, František (referee)
This doctoral dissertation thesis deals with rotary mowers, specifically with the issue of mulching. In the theoretical part the reader is being familiar with the technology of mulching and its importance. Further, the individual types of mulchers and its advantages and disadvantages are described. The literary analysis of energy demands of rotary mowers is stated. Further, the parameters influencing energy demands of the mulcher are also analyzed. The results of measurement of the energy demands of the mulcher with vertical axis of rotation are presented. The dependency of input power, specific energy consumption and fuel consumption on mass performance of the machine are created. Furthermore, the energy demands was determined, while mulcher was working continuously at the permanent grassland. The energy losses of the mulcher were also analyzed. The effect of modification of operational and constructional parameters on the energy demands and quality of work of the mulcher wit vertical axis of rotation is studied. From the constructional parameters the shape of working tool, especially cloth angle and rake angle of the tool, and shape of the cover of the mulcher workspace is modified. From the operational parameters the cutting speed and mass performance according to conditions is modified.

The Trends of Partner Cohabitation Forms in the Context of Social Policy Development
VODRÁŽKOVÁ, Magdalena
This thesis maps trends and development of partner cohabitation in relation to social policy changes. Marriage has a rich history and its form and nature has changed several times in the past. In the last sixty years, the divorce rate has risen, women have become more emancipated and their participation in the labour market. Unmarried cohabitation is similar to marriage which it also usually precedes. This type of partner cohabitation is currently more common and it sometimes replaces marriage completely. The theoretical part of this thesis also describes the founding of a family, its function and history, because starting a family is closely related to marriage and unmarried cohabitation. The remainder of the theoretical part is dedicated to social and family policy, which is characterized in greater detail, regarding its concepts, goals and tools, together with family support systems and measures. The goal of this thesis was to map preferred forms of partner cohabitation at various stages of social policy development in the Czech Republic and to determine the influence of individual social policy measures on population development in the context of marriage, birth or divorce rates in the short and long term. Two hypotheses related to the goals of this thesis have been established. Hypothesis no. 1: The concept of marriage has been more important for women than for men at all stages of social policy development. Hypothesis no. 2: University-educated individuals prefer marriage more than those with elementary education. The first part of the research results is a comparative analysis of available secondary resources relating to certain development stages of social policy in our country. The second part of the research was conducted in the form of a pilot study, using the quantitative method on questionnaires. Results indicate that significant change in the material conditions of families with children has positive effect on population growth. Women used to link marriage to motherhood and to greater certainty while raising children. The number of marriages among university graduates is increasing. This has also been caused by the higher number of people with university education. This trend started in the early 90s. Respondents with university degrees expressed the opinion that the main reason to form a marriage is having children, yet they do not consider it as important as those without university education.

The draft of the management plan for selected area
HROMAS, Jakub
Velká Homolka (Great Homolka) Hill is located near the town of Vimperk in the south bohemian region of the Czech Republic. It is characterized by its predominantly southern exposure with the presence short-straw flat grassland communities with scattered bushes. The presence of important and protected species of insects and other animal groups assigned to this biotope is significant for this area. The territory is still not legally protected. A local NGO takes care of this site. It manages the area according to botanical and entomological surveys carried out in 2009. This work provides further description of the site in terms of different natural characteristics, provides a description of the results of (botanical, entomological, ornithological, etc.) surveys carried out for purposes of this work in 2013, and proposes a management plan that can serve as a basis for declaring this area as a SPAs according to the Czech legislation. Equally important significance of the plan is also the fact that it can serve as a guide how to manage this site properly and how to improve the state of the protected subject.
