Increasing Single Cylinder SI Two-Stroke Engine Performance
Stejskal, Miroslav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with two-stroke engine design modifications to enhance its performance parameters. The introduction summarizes the various solutions of two-stroke engines. The next part deals with design modifications of the engine power, their implementation and subsequent modification. The work includes strain and stress analysis of the piston, which includes a complete indication of pressures in two-stroke engine. The achieved results of FEM analysis were used to design better piston geometry.
Adjustment of Engines for Motorsport
Slovák, Marek ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis treats of basic options for gain performance parameters of engine for the purpose of usage the unit in motorsport. Thesis is especially aimed at theoretical part of implementation of adjustments and also provides practical examples. By no means it is not a manual or accurate enumeration of adjustments which are used for different kinds of motorsports. Thesis rather provides reader with the view on topics which bring the biggest increasment to engine performance or which is in the given topic interested in other way.
Nuclear Fuel Margins Increasing at Nuclear Power Plant Dukovany
Vrábel, Radek ; ČEZ,, Ondřej Zlámal, (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with power uprates and the extension of the nuclear fuel cycle at Czech nuclear power plants. The beginning of this thesis aims at improving the reader’s knowledge about nuclear reactors and nuclear fuel cycle. A whole chapter is dedicated to the development of nuclear fuel cycle at the nuclear power plant Dukovany. The progress in the field of nuclear fuels complements the development of the nuclear fuel cycle, thus providing visible benefits.
Overcharginh of SI and CI Engines
Čavoj, Ondřej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on overcharging and its influence on spark-ignition and diesel engines. It describes common overcharging methods, including their advantages and disadvantages. In analysing the most regular of them, it also mentions their design elements and possibilities of eliminating some of their weak points. It also contains short summary of this segment’s history, the view on possible future development and at the end even examples of overcharged engines.
Engine modification for racing application
Fried, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with modifying a stock engine for racing application. The thesis briefly describes the regulations of the championship FIA CEZ Division 4 and rival powertrains. Next, it analyses the stock engine and two variants of modifications. The last chapter offers further possible modifications to the engine.
