The first part focuses on theoretical assumptions and different areas, which are in question when organizing this type of cultural events. After reviewing the literature it is mostly project management, law, marketing and human resources. The next section analyzes the possibilities of financing of organizations that do business or are in other way active in the cultural field, here we discusses the breakdown of these resources and the specifics of each type. Some of the specifics are defined by the legal form of festival organizers; these are given a separate chapter. In the practical part, my thesis evaluates the situation of a particular festival. The basis for the conclusions is drawn as a comparison of the current situation with the author's theoretical model. Part of the work and another mean used to obtain the necessary information is an online questionnaire which is included in the last chapter of the thesis.
