Current government support for social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with social enterprise in the Czech Republic and its state aid. It focuses on the description of state aid decisions, affecting the operation of social enterprises in the Czech Republic. Briefly describes the characters of the civil sector organizations and symbols of social enterprises, including their differences, and identifies other possible legal forms for social enterprises. Based on the selected documents are in the thesis specification of groups of disadvantaged people in the labor market. The research work was part of the method of semi- structured interviews with selected social entrepreneurs and the results of qualitative research contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives of thesis. The conclusion summarizes the various findings.
Impact of economic development in 2005-2012 on the status disadvantaged groups on czech labour market

The paper examines the status of selected disadvantaged groups in the Czech labour market in 2005-2012. The main goal of this paper is to test the hypothesis that these disadvantaged groups respond to changes in Czech GDP more sensitive than the general unemployment rate. This thesis describes the development of general unemployment rate and selected disadvantaged groups in studied period. The main hypothesis is verified using regression analysis performed on the time series. Empirical investigation, realized in this work, confirm this hypothesis in a group of graduates and persons at age 15-24. For persons with disabilities and persons at age 50-74 failed to confirm the hypothesis.
Social economy in the Czech Republic, its origins and possible future development

The Diploma thesis examines social economy area, social entrepreneurship in particular, with focus on integration of disadvantaged groups on Czech Republic labor market. The main objective of the thesis is to identify strengths and weaknesses of the social entrepreneurship and work integration concept with emphasis on legislation, financing and historical and cultural influence as well as suitability of the environment for further progress. Particular attention is given to evaluation of purposiveness of creating work opportunities for disadvantaged groups by social enterprise. The thesis also examines social entrepreneurship environment in selected European countries to find inspiration for improvement or to identify areas to be aware of and avoid them. The analytical part of the theses is focused on Czech Republic, using information data gathered form subject matter experts, or based on information provided by social enterprise representatives. The thesis is concluded with a SWOT analysis delivering complex overview of Czech social enterprise and its prospective opportunities or potential impediments.
