Zhodnocení vývoje jakosti vody vybraných toků v povodí vodárenské nádrže Švihov na řece Želivce

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of water quality in selected watercourses in the Švihov water reservoir catchment area and compares the results with those from the catchment area of the Lučický stream, which is located outside the Švihov reservoir catchment area. The first part of the thesis is devoted to a literature review addressing the issue of water pollution, eutrophication, pesticides, individual nutrients, and related legislative regulations. The second part of the bachelor thesis contains a brief characterization of the Švihov water reservoir catchment area and the Lučický stream catchment area, a description of the methodology, and the results of the evaluation of water quality in selected watercourses. The processed results from the Švihov reservoir catchment area and the Lučický stream catchment area were compared in terms of management in protective zones and outside of them. The obtained results were evaluated based on Czech Standard 75 7221 and Government Regulation No. 401/2015 Coll., as amended. The results demonstrated a clear correlation between flow rate and the amount of pollutants transported, with significantly lower transport rates recorded in dry years than in hydrologically average years. Regarding pesticides, it was found that the parent substance was only present in water immediately after application to agricultural land, while metabolites were found in both water and soil permanently. At the same time, relatively high concentrations of a pesticide metabolite that cannot be used today were also recorded.

Zhodnocení samočistící schopnosti vodního toku Bítýška

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality and self-cleaning ability of the Bítýška watercourse in Vysočina. The theoretical part is devoted to the water management legislation of the Czech Republic, water quality including related problems, self-cleaning ability, wetlands and monitored water quality indicators. The next part characterizes the area of interest in terms of natural conditions and hydrology. The practical part describes in detail the collection of water samples, measurement of water quality indicators in the field and laboratory determination of chemical water analysis. The work concludes with an evaluation of the results obtained according to the relevant legislation and discussion. The results of laboratory analysis have demonstrated that the self-cleaning ability of watercourses was exhibited only for half of the monitored period and cannot be unequivocally confirmed. The findings revealed high concentrations of nitrate nitrogen, total phosphorus and chemical oxygen demand caused especially by draining under-cleaned water from root wastewater treatment plant into the watercourse.

Vliv specifických polutantů na kvalitu vod studánek

This bachelor thesis concerns with the issues of water pollution. The theoretical part deals with the description of the most occurring contaminants (focused on pesticides and drugs), their occurrence in water, description of modern analytical methods and legislative action. In the practical part, I focus on research of springs around Tišnov. The basic parameters of water quality were measured (the basic parameters are considered pH, temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and the spring capacity). Afterwards, the values were transformed into graphs and the quality of each spring was evaluated.

The presented thesis, entitled Evaluation of the effectiveness of a selected wastewater treatment plant, deals with the problems of water pollution and available technologies in the area of wastewater treatment. In particular, the thesis compares the effectiveness of root-zone and conventional (mechanical-biological) wastewater treatment plants. For comparison, the following plants were selected: root-zone wastewater treatment plant in Dražovice and classical wastewater treatment plant in Letonice. Both facilities are in the size category of 500 -- 2000 population equivalent. These two adjacent municipalities are located in South Moravia, approximately 32 km east of the city of Brno.

Bachelor thesis Evaluation of watercourse Úmoří deals with small streams. Its aim is to evaluate a given watercourse and propose solutions to the unsatisfactory state. The work includes a literature review, which generally describes water as an essential natural ingredient, its chemical composition, rivers, their revitalization, including water legislation. In the rest of the work, the issues selected watercourse, including a detailed description of the characteristics of its watershed. Part of this work was to take samples of water and measuring indicators monitored in the field and in the laboratory and their evaluation, which is necessary to evaluate water quality. The obtained results were proposed measures to improve the condition of the watercourse.

Zhodnocení stavu toku Sebránek (okr.Blansko) a návrh opatření

This paper: "Assessment of the current state of the Sebranek (Blansko District) and suggestion of action" is focused on the revitalization of watercourses, water pollution, field research, water samples collection and evaluation of selected properties of the water quality, assessment of the current state of the flow and suggested corrective action. The paper contains theoretical background. In this section, the findings of the theoretical research is presented. The practical part contains teh area of interest, methodology of the samples collection, evaluation of the collected water samples from the quality perspective and subsequently charts, tables and written presentation of the results. This paper concludes in suggested corrective and preventive actions, eg. building a water treatment plant or complying to crop rotation rules due to excess nitrogen, phosphorus and copper levels.

Zhodnocení stavu toku Semíč a návrh opatření

In my diploma thesis Evaluation of the flow Semíč and a draft measure I summarized the literature review dealing with the revitalization of watercourses and water pollution. The aim of the study was to conduct a survey of the watercourse Semíč and its water-shed. Another objective was water sampling and evaluation of selected indicators of water quality in the laboratory. Samples were taken and evaluated for the period 2013/2014 and the one calculated averages. Analyses of zinc, copper and aluminium have been performed with respect to their financial costs twice, once analysis cadmium. The results were compared with the data obtained from the 1992 and 2002/2003. The comparison of the results over time shows that some indicators marked improve-ment in contrast to certain values worsened. Results from the period 2013/2014 reflect the improving quality of surface waters. However, it is still necessary to improve the management of farmland with an emphasis on erosion, proper crop rotation and fertilizer application. In the future, it is necessary to focus on better drainage and wastewater treatment.

Monitoring jakosti vody Bílého potoka

This bachelor thesis is called Monitoring of the water quality of Bílý potok. It deals with the issue of water quality of this watercourse in the natural park Údolí Bílého potoka. Part of the thesis is a literary research on the topic of water pollution. Literary research defines the basic information about water, water quality legislation, and the characteristics of the selected territory. In the context of the methodology of the thesis are used field surveys, sampling on selected sites and the subsequent evaluation of the indicators of the quality of the water in the laboratory. Results for the set of indicators of water quality are shown in the graphs, which are accompanied by brief descriptions. Selected charts provide information on the influence of tourism on the quality of water in the natural park Údolí Bílého potoka. In the conclusion of the thesis there are measurements of indicators of water quality and proposals to improve the water quality of Bílý potok watercourse.
