Vébrová, Eliška ; Pauknerová, Daniela (advisor) ; Surynek, Alois (referee)
This thesis deals with the balancing of family and professional lives for women in high management positions. The main objective is to determine whether, from the perspective of managers themselves, it is possible to achieve a balance and to see how they have managed to combine these two areas of life. The research section covers a cross section of current knowledge on this topic including reserach on motivation, barriers in the workplace and challeneges for women in accessing high level management positions. The empirical part is based on information provided by women in high positions. For this purpose, qualitative research was conducted. Information was obtained partly through in-depth interviews and partly in the survey.
