Data backup using cloud services

The first part of my bachelor thesis is focused on theoretical pieces of knowledge about backup and its types joins on cloud data centres that clarify the advantages and disadvantages of cloud solution, its security and the point of view of legislation of internet storages. The second part of this paper is practical and its main benefit is evaluation of clouds services as OneDrive for Business, Google Drive for Work and Dropbox Business based on their description of functions and their performed measurements, when was measuring time of upload the data with the same size in these data centres. These services are described also for non-company solutions, but only for reason of the explanation of the differences between corporate and individual use. The particular goals of this work are also characteristic of functions for often used software for automatic backup of Acronis True Image Cloud, Cobian Backup 11 and automatic backup in Windows.
Data protection and backup

The upcoming pages of this bachelor paper are dedicated to the issue of data backup and data protection in the environment of a household. The first part is focused on theory and explanation of the basic concept of data protection and data backup. Those concepts include basic types of backup, media and forms of backup application. The second part aims for reviewing backup software and cloud storages by different criteria. Applications used in reviews will be running on the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. At the end of the paper, there will be presented variations of backup procedures and possible economic savings achieved by data backup.
Data deduplication for backup

Bachelor thesis deals with deduplication during backup issue. Easily forgettable from the "common user" perspective. But important for IT administrator. Deduplication is important mainly because of limited space for backups and computing power. Bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part the thesis describes deduplication, methods and tools of deduplication. In the second part, the backup systems with deduplication support. Issue objective is try to describe different procedures of deduplication and test suitability of different software. The thesis uses electronic data, program data and similar litarature. The main benefit of this thesis is showing deduplication as a problm to the general public and showing usability of different softwares.
