Domestic electricity production from renewable sources
Halamíček, Milan ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis describes utilization of renewable resources, which can be used for production of electric energy. It presents three ways, one of them is wind power plant, the second is photovoltaic system and the last one is water power plant. There are suggested two ways of electric energy supply to family houses including economic evaluation.
Potential of utilization of wind energy in the Czech Republic
Kolařík, Ivo ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Košner, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with a potential of wind energy utilization in the Czech Republic. This thesis contains description of the wind map of the Czech Republic, analysis of posibility of wind energy utilization for electric energy generation as well as suggestion of criteria for choosing the most suitable for wind turbine construction.
Wind resource assessment for selected sites in the territory of the Czech Republic
Hanslian, David
This set of studies analyses the wind conditions and expected wind power production at selected sites in the Czech Republic. At first, the calculation of wind conditions by VAS/WAsP 1, VAS/WAsP 2 and PIAP models is performed. Based on the comparison and analysis of model results, the generalized wind climate pertaining to the assessed site is estimated. The final results are calculated by WAsP model using this generalized wind climate. The expected wind power production of proposed wind turbine or wind farm is calculated as well as the map of simulated average wind speed and potential wind turbine production over the surrounding area. The uncertainty analysis is performed as well. This set consists of 6 partial reports.
Wind resource assessment of wind farm based on local wind measurement
Hanslian, David
The expected energy production of proposed wind farm was calculated on the basis of local wind mast measurements. The study includes detailed analysis of measured wind data, correction of discovered inaccuracies and correction for long-term wind conditions (measure-correlate-predict analysis). The final calculation of wind energy production was performed by WAsP model. The uncertainty analysis was performed as well.

Day-ahead bidding on energy markets - a basic model and its extension to bidding curve
Branda, Martin
Wind resources energy production is highly influenced by uncertain weather conditions. We provide several simple models for bidding on day-ahead energy markets, which take into account the uncertainty. The obtained optimal bids and bidding curve are based not only on the point prediction, but also on the forecasted distribution of generated energy. We relate the resulting problems to two-stage stochastic programs with simple recourse.
Renewable energy sources in China: trends and issues
Šteg, Filip ; Stuchlíková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate current status of renewable energy sources in China and to reveal current problems of this sector. In the first chapter, renewable energy sources are theoretically defined. In the second chapter, the whole energy sector of China is analysed with emphasis on the role of renewable energy sources, their share on primary energy consumption and their share in electricity production. The last chapter covers sector of wind energy in a detail. It analyses feed in tariffs or issues of energy grid. It also discusses economic profitability of wind power plants, their manufacture industry and overall future potential.
Predictability of wind famrs operated by Amper-Market company
Farda, Aleš ; Rajdl, Kamil ; Štěpánek, Petr
This report contains an analysis of the electric energy production of wind power plants of the company Amper Market a.s. from the point of view of its predictability, with the main objective of determining the potential accuracy of hourly predictions of the power production. To calculate the analyzed predictions a regression forecasting model utilizing wind speed and direction in two height levels is used. The necessary values of these meteorological variables are obtained from three numerical weather prediction models – Aladin, EPS Aladin and IFS. The accuracy of the energy production predictions is optimized regarding the choice of suitable geographical points for obtaining outputs of the numerical models, the combine utilization of the models and individual setting of the regression model for the single power plants. The analysis was performed based on data from the period January 2013 to April 2014.
