The Metternichs, or Klemens Wenzel Lothar Metternich Is Getting Married

The first part of this work discusses the history of house Metternich with shells in their heraldry and also about another less significant house Metternich with lion in their heraldry. Furthermore this work summarizes the theories about kinship between these two houses. Another significant point of this work is the personal life of Austrian state chancellor Klemens Metternich and his marriages, which are analyzed in a separate chapter. The goal of this work is to analyse available literature and to this time unused sources and bring a comprehensive view of the problematic of the history this house and of the second house Metternich as well as to unfold the topic of marriages of the state chancellor Klemens Metternich and review essential publication dealing with these topics.

This diploma thesis is focused on the arrivals of the first two wives of William of Rožmberk, namely of Katherine of Brunswick and Sophie of Brandenburg, to the domain of the latter. The arrival was a complicated procedure with a whole range of economic, social and cultural aspects and many people were involved in it as well. This work deals with a broad spectrum of related issues: first of all it examines, step-by-step, the whole process of courtship and it describes the wedding rite in general. The aim of the core section of the thesis is to describe some practical measures, such as staff and food supplying and accommodation capacities providing. The attention is also drawn to the invitation letters and written instructions given to the burghers and castel staff in respect of the guests' comfort and public security maintaining. The final part of the work deals with the journey itself of the two brides to Český Krumlov.

The aim of this master's thesis is the study of the development and changes of the wedding customs in the years 1948 - 1989, i.e. during the period of communistic Czechoslovakia. These developments and changes were monitored by oral history quality research - by the direct interviews with participants in discussions and comparison with available sources and photographic documentation from the weddings in each period of time. The work is focused more detailed on the influence of the socialism and its economic and cultural conditions over the development of wedding practices and customs and then on deviations from the Western, or better to say non-communistic model of changes in wedding customs in Europe during the post-war period of the 20th Century. The research was pursued at the regional level. The narrators were selected with regard to their responsibility for the appropriate generation and to the time they have married.

The Cultural Diferences among World Regions in Relation to Hotel and Gastronomy (South Bohemia - English culture)

Bachelor´s thesis deals with analyse attendance of South Bohemia group of English´s tourists with regard on their cultural differences, customs and different mentality. The insight into actual situation not only of the hotel industry bring in two interviews and personal research and survey. Thanks to which were identify their wishes and needs and together with it were reveal deficiencies that are barriers to develop incoming tourism to the destination. At the end of this work are make a suggestions for improvement of situation in this area.

Planning of marriages and evaluation of some statements relating to partnership and wedded life were the subject of survey, that CVVM SOÚ AV ČR made in November 2007. Proportion of people that plans wedding in the future is on the same level in the long term (approximately 40 %). Czech citizens are relatively benevolent to partnership life without children, but in connection with upbringing and child care Czechs often prefer marriages. Then respondents compared importance of weddings in context of some other aims in life (f.e. to have children, career success or hobbies).
