Research and development of progressive protective equipments for horizontal construction using waste materials
Hodná, Jana ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Dohnálek,, Pavel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Large amount of different types of industrial wastes are still not re-use as secondary raw materials in industry. The work deals with finding a new way how to use secondary raw materials, especially the possibilities of using recycled glass from different sources as a fillers in the polymer protective materials development for horizontal structures. The main task of this work is to develop a material with the desired physic - mechanical properties and further verifying the influence of particle shape on their chemical resistance. Result of this work will find advanced protective materials using secondary raw materials as alternatives to be in terms of economic and ecological efficiency replacement for conventional products.
Development od flooring systems with usage od lightweight aggregate
Jankovský, Jiří ; Ševčík, Milan (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The work deals with the possibilities of lightening of the flooring system. Flooring system is solved by lightening the material. The surface layer is modified by lightweight fillers made from the waste materials, lightweight waste materials and fillers made from natural substances. Simultaneously is this work dealing with options of lightening the surface layer by microspheric fillers of separated waste fly ash.

Around the world there is a great number of reinforced concrete structures, who´s life cycle, for which they were designed, is significantly shortened due to action of various aggressive environments, or due to defects created during the construction process. (i.e. insufficient steel reinforcement cover depth). One of the most common causes of problems in reinforced concrete structures is corrosion of steel reinforcement. It is necessary to repair structures degraded in this fashion and return them to their original state. We made a unique polymercement concrete repair system was developed with value added. Corrosion inhibitors, including the newly developed, are implemented into its polymercement matrix, which significantly limit the corrosive processes in all new materials. The principle of proposed solution is application of repair system on a corrosion damaged structure, and then the active substances in the repair material will penetrate into substrate concrete and protect corroded steel reinforcement. Another value added is the application of recycled raw materials into the proposed materials, which has indisputable environmental effect and simultaneously allows for improvement of some properties of the repair materials. Further was developed a new method for detecting corrosion inhibitors in concrete.
The study of utilization of raw materials based on glass recyclate
Bajer, Tomáš ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Presented work deals with the problem of solar glass waste recycling. In theoretical part recent EU regulation regarding waste management is presented. Different ways of PV panels recycling are explained as well as raw materials for glass production are listed. Differences between regular and solar glass is explained. In experimental part different recipes using solar glass waste and polymer binders are presented. Grindability was tested on specimen tiles. Potential of solar glass waste for manufacturing products with acoustic properties was examined.
Development of Resistant Coating Systems Based on Polymer Binders
Voráčová, Veronika ; Vyhnánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to propose the use of waste materials as filler for the selected coating systems used for chemical protection of concrete surfaces. The used filler could not affect the existing binder of the coating system. Research was conducted using two materials N141 and N 121. The waste material was chosen by his chemical and physical properties. Between suitable materials belongs slag, fly ash, foundry sand and glass waste. The selection based on Lena Chemical s.r.o companies request was selected glass waste. The practical part includes examination as fillers, and the corresponding tests for coating systems with pre-used filler. Finally, the assessment of the suitability of the materials used.
Design nábytku denní potřeby pro rozvojové země
Ludvíková, Kateřina
Everyday furniture for developing countries is the topic that this diploma thesis deals with. The aim was to obtain input information, create a theoretical project and then verify it directly in practice in a developing country – Zambia. The project focuses on the use of wooden waste material and at the same time takes into account local conditions. The result of the work is research that collects basic data about joinery, schools, furniture and culture in Zambia. This theoretical project has been tested in practice on a small scale. At the same time, six prototypes of furniture were made from waste material and a development project on the subject was written.
The image of reality - young artist's attitude to environmental problems in their creative activity and personal lives
Shiriaeva, Inessa ; Mašek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Figura, Roman (referee)
This qualitative diploma thesis deals with a specific view of art from the perspective of social science disciplines and in connection with the environmental problems of today. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to selected social and cultural concepts of the contemporary world, especially consumer society, waste and art, which puts in the context of the climate crisis. It describes the attributes of consumer society, the consequences of overproduction and consumption in the form of waste, which I further look through with the artistic eye. It addresses the social functions of art, its anchoring in social consciousness and the relationship with science. The empirical part of the work offers a view of the artistic environment, especially young artists on the climate crisis in both personal life and creation. It describes their motivations and limits leading to the sustainable implementation of the concept or activist approach to the audience in order to contribute to a better society. The work thus deals with the important role of artistic creation in our society. Keywords mass production, consumer society, climate change, recycling, waste material, art, activism
