Motivation of students from Theological fakulty of USB to study Social and charity work

This bachelor thesis deals with student's motivation to study social work. The aim of the thesis is to find what is the motivation of students of the Faculty of Theology USB to study Social and Charity work. Specifically, I wanted to find what motivated students to choose the field of social and charity work. What motivates them and also demotivates them while studying. Last but not least, whether the study met their expectations and whether they ever considered ending it.
Proposal of a system of further education of social workers in direct contact with seniors in the houses of seniors

This thesis deals with the issue of the further education of social workers who work in homes for the elderly in direct care with this target group. The aim of the work which is based on the results arising from the interviews and questionnaire is to design the content of further training for this specific group of social workers so that their real needs would be accepted. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is familiarising with the most commonly used theories in social work with the elderly in the facilities of social services, marginally, it is describing the social service system for the elderly in the Czech Republic, including the role of social workers in it and the importance of the training of social workers. The practical part presents the methods and results of the data analysis, research and the design of the content of continuing education of social workers.

Teaching debt counseling in social-oriented tertiary education

(in English): The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out whether the subject of debt counselling is tought at tertiary educational institution social-oriented. The main reason for this sanctify work lies in big important of debt issues in current society. It is necessary to deal with this issue in the area of social activities in the form of debt counselling. This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part deals with debt issues, debt counselling and education and training in social activities. Further more this theoretical part is based on the recherche and studying of scientific and specializes literatury. The practical part is trying to find with the help of three methods whether colleges and higher secondary schools offer knowledge and skills of debt counselling and debt issues. This survey was execreted at selected social - oriented schools - higher secondary schools and bachelor program of colleges located in Prague. The result of practical part is the summary of all data gather during the survey process.
Macropraxis as the still neglected element in the Czech social work

Diploma thesis analyses the macro practice in the Czech social work. It defines macro practical concept and its relationship to social policy and community social work by analysing the Czech and foreign specialized publications. It defines the key knowledge, skills and abilities which macro practicioner should manage. It emphasizes the macro scope towards the political representation. Macro practical methods are presented too. Diploma thesis defines two main principles - networking and evidence based practice. At first, macro practicioner is the creator of professional's networks or social services network. Secondly, in the evidence based practice macro practicioner is obligated to manage his decision making process on the base of the best and the most recent scientific researches. It all concludes the macro practice framework, which leads to the efective work with social excluded people. Macro practice is viewed as the approach, which helps clients, communities, regions and target groups in the implementation of their civil right, when it uses the enpowerment techniques. According to the international perspective, the status of the actual Czech macro practice is vieved as unconsolted. The relationship of students of higher specialized school of social work to the pursue of the profession of social worker after finishing education.

The thesis deals with relationship of students of higher specialized school of social work in Domazlice to the pursue of the profession of social worker after finishing education at this school. In the thesis, theoretical bases are assigned and analyzed to results of own research, which was performed among the students at the mentioned school. The research is focused on finding out factors, which influenced students of the school to the decision to study social work specifically at the school mentioned above; on finding out, whether the students wish to pursue the profession of social worker after finishing education, to which conception of social work they incline; and on finding out, what sort of clients they would like to work with. In the ethical part, the question is analysed, whether it is possible to dispose the responsibility for making decisions during the pursue of the profession of a social worker by chosing an organization with certain conception of social work.
The Support of the Social Worker Professional Development in the Asylum House

The principle of this thesis is the characterization of social worker professional development in general as well as focusing on the asylum house. In the theoretical part there are described characteristics of the social worker professional role (the personal and professional assumptions). In addition, this section deals with professional development at the individual level and at the level of organization, training in social work practice, supervision, and in particular the possibilities of professional development asylum house staff. The practical part represents the research carried out by means of a questionnaire probe in the asylum houses in the three regions in the Czech Republic. Its purpose was to determine the current professional development asylum house staff.
