ŠACLOVÁ, Lenka
In my bachelor´s thesis The Influence of the Enlightenment on the Czech School in the Turn of 18th and 19th Centuries I deal with enlightened reformative efforts of J. I. Felbiger, F. Kindermann a J. J. Ryba. Primarily, I focus on five parts of Felbiger´s so called right ?zaháňská?teaching method. Next part is concerned by Kaplice school where F. Kindermann taught and studies the industrial teaching from his point of view. I also deal with pedagogical activity of the teacher and musician J. J. Ryba. I compare their didactic approaches and analyse their effectiveness. Suggestions of the didactic application of enlightened teaching methods at present secondary schools, and examples of the own translation work are the parts of the thesis.
Lifelong midwives of education.
BOUDOVÁ, Monika
The theme of this thesis is ?Lifelong Midwifery Education?. The midwife´s competence is a subject to a three-year Bachelor's study and then repeated award of the Certificate of Eligibility to work without professional supervision. This is conditional on not only obtaining a Bachelor's degree, but also implementing the program of lifelong education. These conditions have not always been as such. In ancient times there was not any emphasis on midwives´ education, over time the knowledge and experience became more of an importance. A midwife of today is still forced to complement her skills. Despite of the fact that training courses had already existed, midwives were not obliged to attend them or prove any ongoing collection of new skills. After joining the European Union the education system of non-medical staff underwent changes, and in addition to existing secondary education or higher professional studies the schools proved inadequate and the studies had to be transferred to universities. At the same time the midwives had to prove their ongoing education and studies with their reached credits. The objective of this effort is a high quality nursing care and the care in midwifery. This research aims to map the interest of midwives in Lifelong Education events and detect possible gaps in some parts of the training. This can be used to extend the practice of lifelong studies. The research method used an anonymous questionnaire which was filled in by the Ústí Region midwives. The expectations that the midwives with lower education would not be as much interested in the offer of the education as the ones with higher education were incorrect. According to the questionnaires the topics and events of education are sufficient. Both the groups have proved comparable demand for education and training. The offered themes were, according to the midwives, fully satisfactory. The research has also showed rather poor knowledge of foreign languages. The midwives should be encouraged and motivated to expand not only their professional but also language skills going forward.
Realization of environmental education in special schools
ŠVECOVÁ, Markéta
Environmental education puts emphasis on getting to know our environment and its relationship with man, and becoming aware of the necessity to preserve conditions for life. Constant care of our environment is closely linked to the state of the environmental awareness and education level of the population. The Ministry of the Environment bears responsibility for environmental tuition, education and public awareness (hereinafter EVVO). In this respect, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which published methodological instructions to bring the EVVO into practice, is no less important. This bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical parts. The theoretical part contains a description of environmental education, its realisation in schools, the state EVVO programme, special school system and the EVVO in the Region of South Bohemia. The research part of the bachelor thesis made use of qualitative research. To fulfil the objectives defined I chose the survey method. The technique used to collect data was an individual non-standardised interview. The research set consisted of the EVVO school coordinators, school headmasters/headmistresses or teachers responsible for EVVO in special schools in the region of České Budějovice. The objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out in which way environmental education was realised in all special schools in the region of České Budějovice. All the research questions have been answered, and it has been found out that environmental education is realised in six out of seven special schools, and all these six special schools realise environmental education in similar ways. These six special schools realise environmental education within school subjects, and they chose the combined form of play and theory. All respondents use various aids in their lessons, and five of them take part in environmental education projects. Six special schools realise environmental education according to the Framework Education Programme and two of them draw on the EVVO methodological instructions. The services of ecological centres are used by six special schools realising environmental education, but financing these services is complicated for them. The results of this bachelor thesis may contribute to a better orientation in the questions of the EVVO realised in special schools, and they will be offered to the Cassiopeia Ecological and Global Education Centre for the project ?I Cannot See, I Cannot Hear, But I Know ??.
Alternative communication in homes for handicaped persons
SVAČINOVÁ, Jana
This work deals with problems of taking advantage of the augmentative and alternative communication (hereinafter referred to as AAC) with clients in homes for patients with combined handicap. The target of my work was to get relevant information concerning AAC in homes for handicapped people and to create well working methodical instructions for employees in the direct care in the institutions where they work. The theoretical part of my work defines the terms of alternative an augmentative communication and describes briefly the used communication systems or tools, further it describes individual institutions, where I carried out my investigation. The practical part of my work describes the target of my work and works up the reasons for introducing the AAC into the institutions, where the patients are staying. To implement the investigation I have chosen the qualitative research, which is a method of questioning, semi-structured interviews and in-depth discussions. The own investigation proceeded in a direct form of discussions with clients, their nurses or guardians, with the employees in direct care and people in social services responsible for the given institution. As the results of my work show, the AAC problems in institutions for permanent stay of patiens are often neglected, before an accreditation commission or any supervision draws an attention to it. There is no unified methodology, very often the opinion on the introduction of the AAC into practical life differs, the employees work on the basis of their intuition and a system in such attitude lies on the side of special teachers or therapeutics, not on the side of the employees, who spend most of their time with the clients. The problems is as well that the employees are not sufficiently trained and last but not least the financial demand for some tools.

The evaluation of both processes is based on financial analysis and also the analysis of non-financial factors. The results of undertaken non-financial analyses show areas where more attention is to be paid in order to avoid the complications during possible future acquisitions. The main parts which affected the procedures are attitude towards employees, the market position of the acquiring company, financial situation and the timing. The result of the financial analysis shows that the primary task of acquisition was fulfilled as it helped the company to get from the loss to the profit.
