Voice education in adult choir

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to explain the importance of voice education in adult choirs. In the introduction of the thesis, the historical developments of voice education and the physiology of the vocal tract are briefly described. Later, the issues of singing posture, breath support and warm up are examined. The terms consonant, vocal, vocal register and resonance are explained. The thesis continues with introducing breath and vocal exercises to strengthen the main vocal attributes. These exercises are suitable for all voice types. The last topic of the theoretical part is vocal hygiene. The basic preventive measures to ensure the longevity of the vocal apparatus: regeneration, nutrition, voice care prior to a performance. The core of the thesis is the research part, which itself consists of two parts. The first one includes interviews with vocal teachers. The interviews were held in person with a list of prepared questions. The content of the interviews revolves around the issues of warm up, frequently occurring vocal problems and integration of new choir members. The second part examines voice education approaches in three chosen Czech amateur choirs. This analysis is done based on personal observations of the choirs' rehearsals. Voice preparation of preschool children

The bachelor thesis focuses on the voice preparation of children in kindergarten. The thesis is conceived as action research. The theoretical part will describe what the human voice is and how it works. I will describe there how to work with the voice in kindergartens. Voice disorders can also occur in children of this age. Therefore, in this section we will find listed and posible voice disorders, how to recognize then and how to prevent them. The practical part of the bachelor thesis will be devoted to the action research itself. Six voice moments for preschool children will be designed, their effectiveness will be practically tested and evaluated. Each of the six moments will also include my hypotheses, which will later be confirmed or refuted. At the end of the work the proposed voice moments and their usability in kindergarten will be evaluated. All goals and hypotheses that will be set in the practical part will be evaluated.
Choir And Its Influence on Leisure Time

The bachelor's thesis deals with the choir and its influence on the spending of leisure time. It describes concepts such as choral singing, choirs, their division and characteristics, children's choir, voice education and its proper formation. Furthermore, research on the choir and its impact on leisure time is summarized here. The last chapter of the bachelor's thesis focuses on the preparation of the summer camp of the children's choir.
Range of activities choirmaster of amateur and professional bodies

v anglickém jazyce The work focuses on the spectrum of choirmaster activities. Its main goal is to describe and characterize the way the choirmaster works with the choir, in all branches and areas of choral singing. Another goal is to compare the work of a choirmaster in different types of choirs - children's, women's, mixed; in the case of adult churches, the differences between amateur and professional work are then affected. The theoretical part deals with the organizational structure of choirs in the Czech Republic, the content of the study plan of the field of choral conducting at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, what the student should go through in their studies, what the student of choral subjects should learn and what knowledge and skills should be available in his choirmaster practice. It describes in detail conducting, singing and instrumental skills, the gradual development of the student from the role of a singer to the role of assistant choirmaster in choral practice and mastering the methodology of rehearsing compositions of various types and genres. Methodology of voice education of particular class in the Primary School

The goal of this diploma thesis is to build up a methodology of speech techniques for a specific class which is covered in the topic "Prehistory". In the theoretical part I am engaged in particular teaching stages of speech technique such as attitude, respiration, vibration, effort of muscles in solar plexus area and enunciation. I mention its teaching problems and differences of teaching of individual speech techniques lectors. In the practical part of the theses I introduce my own methodology of particular lessons which concur and I cap it with a phonetic (voice) warm-up. I have taught these lessons at grade 3 of a primary school and I have reflected them.
Voice/vocal cords - the working tools of a leisure time pedagogue

This work deals with voice and the vocal cords as the working tools of pedagogues not only of leisure time. It describes the structure and the workings of the vocal apparatus. It discusses voice typology and voice properties. It includes the basic division of voice disorders and speech impediments, their causes, and the possible ways of their treatment. It also summarises the principles of vocal hygiene along with the voice care options available. The crucial part of the work is the chapter concerning vocal practice, which gives information on specific breathing, vocal, and articulation exercises. Pedagogues belong among vocal professionals and are subjected to considerable vocal strain. Correct voice formation and care should be part of their lifestyle. At the same time, pedagogues are speech models to their pupils and students, and refined speech reflects on them.
