River adaptation with Civil 3D and HEC-RAS

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the current state of the selected section of the Morava river around the city of Olomouc and the subsequent modification and desing of the flood protection. In the first step, hydraulic flow verification using CIVIL 3D and HEC – RAS is performed. Based on the results of the 1D model, proposal river adaptation is then also executed with the aim to incerase the flow capacity and to reduce the water effusion.

The bachelor thesis deals with restoration of selected reach on the river Svitava. The work consists of 4 chapters. The first part is dealing with the assessment of the current state of river reach and describing general characteristics. The second level describes technical characteristics, reviews possible restoration interventions, proposed restoration interventions on specific reach and vegetation belt along. The third chapter consists of calculations of steady flow run by computer program HEC-RAS. The last part contains drawings documentation of current state and proposed restoration interventions.

The introduced graduation theses deals with the issue of legal regime of land associated with water. In the four major fields, which are water courses, land relations in area protection of water, land relations in areas endangered with high flood and land relations connected to waterworks, the theses analyses legal regulations of land relations with the emphasis on limitations of ownership, which conclude from these relations. In the center of attention of the theses are the laws in the water act, laws which are inferior to the legal force of the water act and laws in the new civil code.
